And does not live in an endemic area or has ever traveled to one?

I can say I have no recollection of ever being bitten by a tick...no rash...no travel to what is considered a lyme endemic area...ever...

Who thinks there are other ways of transmission?
Current treatment (began June 10th 2009):
Biaxin 1000mg/day, Pulsing Flagyl 500mg/day 1 Week Every Month

I never pulled a tick off of myself and I don't ever remember having a rash. The only rash I got was last summer and the summer before I had poison ivy from my knees down.

Also, last Oct. I went on a trip to Cape Charles VA and was eaten alive by misquitos...first time in my life I had to take benadryl for a misquito bite.

So when the neurologist delivered the news that I had lyme I was shocked...however, after thinking about it I realized that I'm out in nature taking photos all the time so it is possible.

If you want to take a look at some of my images here is the link http://www.flickr.com/photos/55467673@N00/

I love nature and it sucks that ticks and lyme have to be a part of it.

I have no memory of a tick bite or bulls eye rash. I had one visit to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania but I already had Lyme symptoms prior to this.
I do have memory of a red fire ant bite, along with flea & mosquito bites prior to symptom onset. I was told by an LLND that fire ants can carry and transmit Lyme.

Razzle,

I didn't know that about fire ants. I've gotten bit plenty of times. I have no recollection of a tick bite or a rash but have had flea bites too. I had recurring rashes, but none were bullseye rashes.

I've spent quite a bit of time in Long Island and upstate New York and have visited Conn. and the Poconos but have no recollection of a tick bite or bullseye rash. I do recall one summer in the city when I had quite a few mosquito bites that swelled up abnormally. Also remember a trip to Turks & Caicos where my legs were bitten by sand fleas on the beach. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the mosquitoes or fleas and not a tick that infected me.

I cant wait till the movie gets to you.
I dont remeber being bit but i had a butterfly rash after a camping trip and what now i believe was rocky mountain fever rash and bed ridden flu. never went to the doc just dull back pain after...... now many symptoms busted forward by pregnancy .

---Possible transmission venues-- I have read about,
-Mosquitos,biting flies, fleas, sexually, congenitally, blood transfusion, because it is not screened out for.
There are others

And i'm not sure i wasnt bitten for a second time when the butterfly rash happened because i remember some strange symptoms at 7 yrs old pluracy and sleeping all day my 13th year of life but it may have been mono though at 13 because my blood work has shown i had it before.
-its so confusing
The line is faded not showing where Lyme came in. I became a new Mommy n my Lyme decided to show itself. Swollen elephant like knee and finger and limiting back pain. Bell's palsey, weight loss as if I had no muscle on my bones anymore. And much more text book lyme symptoms. To a Lyme doc, after alot of there is nothing wrong with you and a recommend to counceling,he said V this is Lyme. What kept me pressing on I had Lyme while I was pregnant. I know I was not infected while pregnant. I am watching her with an eagle eye. God Bless everyone. Love Veronica. Were the ones who know about Lyme not the doctors. Isnt that just mad? Backwards. Alice in wonderland.
