Treepark,

I'm sorry you have to go through this, especially while you are so sick. I'm wondering if your mom doesn't have Lyme too. If her mood swings are up and down, she may have Bartonella, which cause severe mood swings, depression and rage. Has she gotten tested for Lyme?

Try calling your local police department for help getting out of there. They should be able to give you information on a safe place to go and help you get there too. They should also be able to help you maybe get on a list for low income housing. You may want to file for disability too if you have worked before....I'm not sure how old you are.

Anyway, I hope things get better for you soon.
2003 symptoms started;panic attacks,anxiety,heightened senses.
2007 Diagnosed with Lyme. Didn't start treatment.
2008 symptoms came back with a vengence.
2009 Diagnosed with Lyme plus co-infections....Babesia and Bartonella.
Illnesses:-Chronic Lyme Disease,Hashimotos Thyroiditis, Ulcers, Hypoglycemia
Medications:-Biaxin 250mg to start,Mepron,Ultram,Thyro Complex 60mg,Probiotics and supplements

i'm not sure but most places have a waiting list. but in some cases they can do emergecy placement. there is also folks who give there time to transport people to and from Dr. appointments depending on where you live. if your female you may want to look into going to a shelter. they can and will work with you and give you all the info you will need. age and sex would help me to give you better info on this. both CG and james have also giving you great advice.

if you would feel more comfuy talking privetly about this fill free to email me. as i am sure most of the others here are willing to help you too.

Most hospitals have social workers who can connect you with resources in the community that may be helpful for you in your current situation.

Good point cajun girl. We need to get the child well I think, and then work on the parent. This is an awful situation but the first step has been made: acknowledging the abuse! Now it's a matter of contacting the right people. You may be able to rent a room somewhere with the help of a social worker. You will be relieved there of much of the dynamic that it sounds like you are subject to at home.

Believe me, Lyme can be tough on families -- even the more "functional" kinds!

Take care,

Hoping

Hi treepark,

I'm so very, very sorry that you are going through this.  My heart goes out to you.  It's good that you realize what is going on as that's always the first step.  Stress is truly detrimental and more so when one has lyme.   Is there any way you can just ignore your mother?  I didn't get along with my mother either and it has always caused me lots of anxiety.

Anyway, perhaps the links below will help a bit regarding Section 8:

Hang in there and let us know how you are feeling, okay?

Thank you all for your help!

I am a female in my thirties and I have had lyme and co-infections for sometime.
I have tried to stay away from her but she harrasses me.
Yes she has had Lyme, treated 3x.
But the understanding and truth come and go.
She has said sorry for the abuse and them it gets worse again.
She has promised to help me and then slannders me to others about being sick.
She has had mental illness since I was 5 yrs. but it was said to be depression.
Her problem are more serious than that. But I wasn't helped to know the really problems because taking care of my own life as a child and young adult. I was always helpful and but I got used because I was loving.
My father used my as her care giver.
Yes I have thought of going to section 8, but because of the health problems I can't live in that type of housing.
I have a skin problem that making housing and living harder.
Plus the money to get treatment and transportation. I live in the country.
I had a car but my father sold it under me.
So I'm trying to problem solve is hard because the options are not good.
I checked on one site for housing and it said they are closed.
I need money for food, supplements and any other treatment.
I have disablity but it is low and the food stamp are under 50 dollars.

Oh My God, Some one Has been praying for me, I will explain Later!

Thank you,
God Bless and I will check back I'm in tears of thanks!

Thank you!!!

Thank you RD,

I need that and thank you for your advice.

I have started looking into that and just thought of some other similar options that may help.

Thank you for your prayers!

As I was typing the last reply my mother came to some kind of understanding of a problems she made for us and decided to make it right.

Big help, but more to go for now.

God Bless,
TP

Thank you I really appreciate that because my parent heard my voice last night the abuse started again.
Screaming at me at 4am Threating me. Unplugged my cordless phone which has only being is service for days. Complaininng that it usees electric. When I told her that it was unlawful to scream at me she said prove it. She screamed on after I prayed for sometime. Them it finally stopped. When you pray if you would pray that she stop slannder me and the people stop tell her to abuse me. To simplify it that is was has gone on. She calls people who do not know her and then they tell her to do things that are unchristian and feed into her abuse behavior. My parent has never had a close friend only people that she associated with at a short time. I need prayer that the people I contacted will help me.

Thank you,
TP
