james, your scarying yourself plz stop. let them run the test to ease your mind, but knwo this if it was something else its easyer to get treatment, and there is more studies for them then lyme. this is just my thinking as to the battles i have been fighting for my own treatment.

btw, they are doing a new study on HIV. seems the lions in affrica. are able to biuld up anitibodies to fight HIV. and they belive this can help to cure humans. its been in test fase now for about a yr. i saw it on 1 of the TVs discovey chanles. as i watch em all.

dont freak out, take deep breaths, and remeber no test will come back tomorrow. they take a lil while to be sent to the pab and reported back to your Dr.

if i was you and had the resoses to go to a LLMD right off this is what i would do. i would make a copy of the symtums list and check off each one that aplys to you. and show this to the Dr. also didnt you say you have a pic of a rash? if so show em at as well. a LLMD can add it all up and Dx you propperly.

James,

This is just my opinion but I don't think you would have twitching if you had Aids. It's a good idea to be checked though. When I first started getting sick, I was scared too. My ex husband cheated on me and I had all kinds of things running through my mind. I made them check me for everything.....Aids, Hepatitis, and even cancer.

I think we've all been down that road. You're not crazy, you're just worried and when you figure out what's going on then your mind will be settled. You do seem to have alot of Lyme symptoms though.
2003 symptoms started;panic attacks,anxiety,heightened senses.
2007 Diagnosed with Lyme. Didn't start treatment.
2008 symptoms came back with a vengence.
2009 Diagnosed with Lyme plus co-infections....Babesia and Bartonella.
Illnesses:-Chronic Lyme Disease,Hashimotos Thyroiditis, Ulcers, Hypoglycemia
Medications:-Biaxin 250mg to start,Mepron,Ultram,Thyro Complex 60mg,Probiotics and supplements

james, can you plz explan to kb123 how you was able to upload your pic. anyways i am not sure on the rash as i have never had one, but from the pics i have seen it looks like it very well could be lyme.

as for the HIV thing. my son had suregery when he was 6 wks old, he had to have blood. only one in my family with his type was my dad. he wasnt able to give blood due to junglerot from his days in nam.so he was given blood from the banks in Nashville Tn. this was on 80 so at that time they didnt screen for HIV. we was told it could take up to 6 yrs for it to show up if he was exposed to it. then when the 6 yrs was up. they said 10 yrs. let me tell you. it was a ruff 10 yrs. but today he is as heathy as a horse and has 2 kids now. the lord was looking out for him.

this is 1 reson why i keep up with HIV studies.

yes, this is my biggest fear.. i mean i could battle lyme and it would be crappy to deal with, but to battle a non-curable infectious disease would prolly put me at wits end and i would snowball into a deep deep dark place no one would want to go.. sometimes i feel so strong when i'm healthy but when i'm down and sick i feel so weak and so vulnerable.

My g/f was tested in aug of 08, this is 6 months after we started anything. and her result was neg. but hey, i' was happy about her, but i'm worried about me now..

the cough and twitching are really annoying, sometimes i dry cough for 10 minutes straight.. no reason at all, its in my throat. and of course it worries me...

i never thought i would be going back through this again.. The hiv thing is scary, did it in 2005 and it was very scary..

Yes, it is very scary. I did is twice already and I think I bit every single nail off, LOL. I was so sick, I thought fir sure it must be something really bad. Well, Lyme is pretty bad but at least there is hope. Not that theres not hope with anything else but you know what I mean.

^^^

i agree, hope with lyme,no hope with hiv/aids.. i would just consider my self dead but living.. it would be scary but very very real.. all of this is coming from a risky exposure i had in 2006 with a girl i didn't know.. i'm so dumb.. all of this after being tested neg a year earlier. its like god is saying, i gave you a second chance and now you ruined it..

James,

Believe me, I had alot of second chances. I'm not saying I was loose or anything, but I did make a ton of mistakes. You know, not having a dad in my life and looking for love in all the wrong places. Back then, Aids wasn't even really talked about but it was out there.

Just take the test and get it over with. Everything willbe fine. Just be extra carefull next time.

my dad was never around either.. nobody taught me nothing, my mom always tried hard but couldn't do everything for me and my brother. we lived in poor household and was on welfare when i was in school.. I will take the test and try to remain as positive as i can, i will report back with whatever news i receive.. i just pray its not hiv/aids..

WELL, NOT TO BE TOO MUCH OF A "SA" - but I would be thankful for almost anything OTHER THAN LYME DISEASE!

^^i know lyme is bad, and i seriously think i have it after seeing my pics. and all the symptoms. I don't want to have lyme, i don't want to hiv either, but if i had to pick one, i would take lyme. is that wrong of me? it is, i just know i have something, and anything is better than HIV. well, maybe cancer could be worse.. jeez, my head is full of negative thoughts..

No - you have a chance of recovering FULLY from Lyme disease - according to my understanding.... I am very much a smart ass and maybe u'll get used to my sense of humour.... or become a one of the moderator's who just "delete" my messages!
