i'm here, i didn't hear anything today from the doc, which now i'm freaked out....i couldn't sleep at all last night and now i'm so tired and i'm laying down right now as i type.. my chest is so tight and i feel numb all over.. might be lyme might be stress/anxiety waiting for the dreadful phone call i'll receive from the doc tomorrow or whenever he decides to tell me the news.

i talked to my boss today and took an emergency vacation to deal with everything i'm going through this week... i feel so bad for doing that though since its so busy right now for us. i just have a bad feeling about that phone call.. i can't stop thinking about it and how it could change my life forever.. and dealing with lyme also.. its a double edge sword right now for me.. i can't seem to shake it....

James, my bloodtests took about a week and a half to come back. I was tested for everything. You have to keep in mind that what is urgent for you is not urgent for them. All of my stuff came out normal and I was so worried. Even my Lyme test came out negative which I learned later that I actually had it. I was right where you are freaking out everytime the phone rang. I am sending positive thought your way... I know things will turn out good for you. Oh and the igenex test took almost 3 weeks. That was still negative for me. Hang in there!!! You can do this!!!!

James,

You may want to call the doctors office in a few days. If your test is negative and everything else is good, then they may not be in a hurry to call you. I've had this happen several times.

Good luck with everything. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

thanks, it really helps when i know people are there praying for me.. the more prayers the better.. regardless of the outcome, i will deal with what i have and try my hardest to move foward the best i can, i might not be the old james, but i'll try to be.

James,

You will NOT have failed any of us. We are all here for you no matter what. You don't have to post the results if you feel uncomfortable. I don't think we have to worry about any bad news though.

i know, it will be hard to post. i don't know if i could if i tried...i would have way to emotions going on that i would have to deal with first. sounds scary huh! i'm very scared.. i made a second bad mistake and now i'm paying for it.. i thought this day wouldn't come for a long time or any time again.. but it has.. i almost feel like, why did i even take the test... i feel so much worse taking it than not taking it.. but i guess it would've been on my mind forever. when you feel sick, you think or at least i think i have everything known to mankind.. so of course, when i get sick, first thing is i have the deadly virus i feared since the 80s.

all things happen for a reason.. i hope i'm giving another chance.. i mean lyme is bad enough, can it get worse than that...

James,

I felt the same way when my doctor admitted me into the hospital 2 years ago thinking I may have meningitis. When that came back negative, I asked her to check for everything including Aids and cancer. It was very scary to even think that may be what I had. My ex husband cheated on me years ago and I also made mistakes. Everything was fine though and now I'm stuck with Lyme, LOL.

Anyway, how are you feeling today?

thank you,

i'm still waiting around for the phone call.. nothing back yet.

its almost unbearable!!

i just keep telling myself, the results are back but they are setting up counselors for me so they can have everything set up so i don't freak out in the office.

it just feels like i have it.. i've thought this way for almost 4 years, but really about 4 or so months ago. when i started to have some skin issues with my face, like some hyperpigmentation. i looked it up and it said hiv possible.. i know eveything is related to that, but man i feel so sick.. my mind is saying the tick induced the hiv to start quicker than normal. knowing my wbc count has dropped alot..

thanks for the support... i had to take this week off of work, due to the anxiety and stress of not knowing, and after the results come back and they are bad, i will need some time to figure things out....

Hey James,

Just wanted you to know that I also have hyperpigmentation on my face that came out of nowhere. It's right under my eye in a half moon like shape. Thank God for makeup being able to cover it up. Someone once thought I had a black eye, LOL. A chiropractor told me that it may be toxins settling under my skin.

I still have it but it has lightened up a whole lot. I think Lyme messes with everything in the body and it could have caused this too. Besides my liver enzymes being slightly elevated at one time, there was no other reason for it.

had my report in the mail the next day...lol i think they wanted to hatch it.

and just so you know i am praying everything is all good. i dont belive you have HIV either :)

they are prolly saying, man this guy is positive, how do we call him and tell him, they look over at each other, and say, i'm not calling you call, then they draw straws to see who calls with the bad news, or they call and tell me to come in for more blood work.. yay!

i think my g/f is neg because, excuse me for saying, but i always pull out before climax, i'm not trying to be a dad, thats why.. so i'm happy about that..

i was thinking i could just tell her, i have lyme and its transfereable through sex so we can't be togther, and btw, just go get tested again for hiv because my results are nonconclusive or something.. lol.. not really.. but yeah, i should call them, i'm to freaking scared...

i was thinking no news is good news, but then i think they are just not back yet, and when they do come back if it was neg, they would call fast to relieve me..

James,

If they have your results now and if it was positive, they would be giving you a call right away. They usually take longer when results are negative.

Also, ummmm just to let you know....I got pregnant with my second child by my husband doing what you are doing. Men have "stuff" (I won't say the word) that comes out before your ummmm climax and your GF could still get whatever you have that way. Protection is the best way to go.

yeah, i can see them saying, man i'm glad i'm not in that persons shoes right now.. that must suck...

cajungrl, yeah i know there is stuff that comes out before the climax part..

i'm sorry again for being such a hypo.. I wouldn't be that nervous about it if i didn't feel sick, or think about a past mistake i made that has came to a head now.. if i was with the same girl since my last test, i wouldn't be so negative right now.. you know?

g/f just called and just back from cancun.. she had a great time there, and took alot of pics.. i'll have to see them to i can relate to a good time.

she asked how i was doing, i was trying to be optimistic but was kinda sad still, but happy to hear her voice. i told her i did take some tests and i'm still waiting on results. I knda freaked her out and told her that it could be hiv, she then said 'james i tested neg in sept' i said so what, that doesn't mean anything to me.. so she is now in a state of panic. o great!

bad things happen...

in the last month, i sold my new house i lived in for 2 years by myself, got sick right before moving, moved in with family thinking i would do this for a couple of months until i found another house and paid my credit card off.. Sold my Acura Tl due to hospital visits and being in the unknown field. Now i'm driving my moms civic to work, and work is on standby because i'm freaking out over everything..

what a life.. i heard of ups and downs, and i'm so down.. i know alot of people on here are in a lot worse shape than me with lyme.. and i support you guys just as much as the support you giving me.. i just feel like my life is crumbling in front of my face all the matter of 2 months.....

James, Hang in there. I also agree with CajunGrl and believe you will get a call telling you it's negative. Then you can start concentrating on treating the LD.

James, I agree w/ all those above who are telling you to call the Dr office. They have neglected to call you, for whatever reason, OR the lab has not completed the work in the prescribed time, for whatever reason. Generally they call people right away if there are 'issues' in their labs.

I'm not just trying to bolster you or get you to be more positive, but I have a very strong feeling that you've got, as MJF says, 'A dose of the Lyme'. I honestly have this feeling that you do not have HIV.

None the less, we will all keep you in our minds (when we are being positive.... ) and our prayers. You may be getting ready to travel down a difficult road, but I sincerely believe it's not the end of the road.... Sincerely, James, I mean it.
Lyme in NC in 1971? Suspect TBI: Fully engorged tick followed by high fever and tonsillitis. Follwed by , lumps on neck,  chronic tonsillits w/ constant low grade to recurring high (104) fevers, severe unexplained neck stiffness and acute neck pain.   Followed by tonsillectomy, urinary tract infections, miscarriage, appendicitis while pregant, chronic severe back pain. Followed by depression, mild anxiety, mitral valve prolapse, and hypglycemia.  Was this a TBI??

Bit again couple of times, lyme suspect bite Mother's Day 2007. Bite, symptoms, lyme specific antibodies on the most lyme specific band of all = 39 IgG.  Still awaiting appt w/ LLMD.
