Hi I havent posted in awhile

i have done Zhangs with no success , felt like i was getting better in the first 2 to 5 mths after that downhill, stunk like garlic all the time, had to excuse myself a few times, but thats not the issue if it would have continued to work ,who cares if u stink like garlic ,just  cure me or get me that much better

i then looked at Dr Jernigans protocol and gave him a call ,went on his protocol, after 2 weeks of worsening in my symptoms, i was taken off he then gave me something else that didnt do much, he is s great Dr to talk to and knows alot, but some protocols dont just work on everybody, i still kept the detox part of Jernigans which i think makes real sense

so now just started on Cowden condensed protocol and mixing in some abx's that my llmd reccomended to hit theses bugs even more and attack the bart that we think i have aswell, day 1 so far so good

im running out of treatments to do and money lol, i have already done 2 years of striaght abx's ,
cant someone come up with that silver bullet so we can go on with our lives , dam frustrating and just losing yrs of quaility living, id rather be put in coma for the time being and wake me up when im cured , its better then waking up every morning with headaches and feeling like crap! sorry for venting

hope all my old friends on here are doing fine or better at the least

Hi TOguy, it is good to see you posting but  I am sorry you are still feeling crummy.

Do you have any co-infections?  Co-infections are often the reason people do not progress with Lyme treatment.  What are your main symptoms?

I think we can all understand wanting a silver bullet cure!  Wouldn't that be nice?  As you said, different protocols work differently for each person.  This is one reason treating these diseases is so frustrating.

Do you like the doctor you are seeing?  Have you thought about getting another opinion?

Hang in there and keep on keeping on.  You will win!

Hi ticker, and thanxs,i didnt mention that i am better then years back when diagnosed , but its just been so slow recovery every year you think this summer is going to be that summer im all better or well enough to be considered almost normal, i do forget how it feels to be normal , but yes im getting better thanxs to some great doctors, i am happy with my llmd she is very knowledgeable on Lyme also having had it herself, but thanxs for the positive words they mean alot, i will keep hitting that nail on the head till i drive it through ,hopefully right through some tick :)

I did test for co-infections and found bart in the fry film test, i have treated them all, and my llmd thinks its the bart thats giving me a hard time, we are hitting it again starting this week with abxs

my symptoms remaining are , headaches, sore throat and neck glands, muscle and joint pain better now was feeling pretty bad pains on zhangs, fatigue of course, tingling in my toes ,and some tremors, these are the ones i deal with daily and some odd balls that come and go at times

Hi TOguy, I am so happy to hear you have improved over time! I hope you have continued success and that it happens quickly!! We are still fighting, too, and completely understand how a "slow recovery" feels.
Best wishes to you. bablymers mom

Allicin will not attack bartonella. According to Schaller's book on bartonella the herbs that work best to kill bart are HH (houtynia), cumanda and clove bud oil. He says the recommended dose given by Zhang, Cowden etc. is very low and will not knock it out. You must take one of these herbs in "a very high dose" to be effective. I have spoken with several people that are recovering from bart using Schaller's advice and from what they all say, you need to take 6-7 times the recommended amount. I am currently taking 15 HH capsules a day and doing well. I have very few symptoms - knock on wood.

hi all, i had lyme, babs, ehrl. two years ago .... very bad.... i took the cowden protocol and instead of taking the 1-2 drops a day of each, i took the 30 drops right off the bat and i tell you it helped me so much. i know everyone is different, but as far as i'm concerned, it was the right thing for me.....

good luck, i hope it works for you..... i really do....
lyme, babs, ehrl. - who knows what else.....  surrounded by woods, deer, mice, birds, dogs & cats...

Hi TOguy,

It's good to vent!  I know about running out of options and money and I guess I am lucky that Dr. Jernigan's protocol worked for me.

I don't think there is any silver bullet for this disease, I think it's doing a combination of many things including the detoxing you mentioned, diet, exercise,  how we deal with stress, our attitude, etc.

When you tried Zhang's and Dr. Jernigan's protocol were you taking antibiotics at the same time as that would explain a lot because the body gets confused.    Just curious.

Hope you are feeling better,
Denise
