I see symptoms listed as joint pain back pain sore back or stiffness in there back. Since this whole lyme thing started my back has been "Stiff" and "sore" at times, however, the last couple of days it has been almost pure agony in the upper back, like my spine is on fire and I have 1/2 my ribs broken. Is this a bit over the top when you refer to back pain or soreness? Alot of times if I sit fro 15 minutes or more when I get up I can't even stand straight for 2 minutes because my back is in so much pain and is so stiff I can't stretch it. At times I can't even look down because it pulls on my spine and hurts like a MF. What kind of "meds" (alieve, bayer, tylenol) can you take that won't mess with the abx?

For years I went to pain management and as a result I have full bottles of just about every pain pill that has been made and nothing helps so I don't take them--All they do is give me headaches so I am stuck with the pain.

A hot bath definately help when I can take one which is not often. But mainly the key is as I get the bacteria load down the pain and stiffness is less. I think we with Lyme and co-infections learn to live with pain every day. I hope you can get some relief soon.

Blessings
