Anyone else use Xanex for anxiety? I just had quite an unusual experience with it and curious if im alone. I took half a pill, not sure the dosage and within about 15 minutes started feeling really strange. I started feeling really really tired and remembered fighting it with laptop in my lap while reading a website. The next thing I know I had passed out and woke up about 2 hours later. When I woke up I remember dreaming or thinking I was dreaming about feeling traped, incapacitated. When I awoke, ( just now) I feel 100% normal again like before I took it. What the heck happened to me!? It was like a super strong shot term tranquilizer... shocked

Well that will never happen that strongly again that usually happens the first time, then u will notice lesser and lesser effects. until finally a leveling of effects.. although while taking it u become tolerant if u stop it and start again u will become sensitive again but never to the extent of that first time.
The line is faded not showing where Lyme came in. I became a new Mommy n my Lyme decided to show itself. Swollen elephant like knee and finger and limiting back pain. Bell's palsey, weight loss as if I had no muscle on my bones anymore. And much more text book lyme symptoms. To a Lyme doc, after alot of there is nothing wrong with you and a recommend to counceling,he said V this is Lyme. What kept me pressing on I had Lyme while I was pregnant. I know I was not infected while pregnant. I am watching her with an eagle eye. God Bless everyone. Love Veronica. Were the ones who know about Lyme not the doctors. Isnt that just mad? Backwards. Alice in wonderland.

Hello SickInCT

This is Kitt and I am from the A & P Forum.  Xanax may make you drowsy and it may be that your dose is to strong for you.  I would check with your physician before taking another dose.  You may be very sensitive to this medication and it made you drowsy and you fell asleep.  2 hours later you were wide awake so it did not put you to sleep for very long. However always error on the side of safety.

You cannot make a broad statement about a person's reaction to any medication.  Each person reacts to medication differently and as I said your dose may need adjusting or the medication changed to one with less sedating side effects.

If you are having anxiety issues you are welcome to post in the A & P Forum.

With kindest personal regards,
Kitt

I was splashin' thru the puddles in my yard this afternoon....just for the heck of it. Made me feel like I was 5 again for a little bit!
