Hi all,
I haven't posted in awhile.  I finally got in to see my LLMD.  He is a wonderful man and I trusted him instantly.  I dropped the ID Md. who refused to believe it was Lyme and diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia.  Needless to say my OB/Gyn seemed a little miffed that I refused his diagnosis, as she was the one who referred me to him for Lyme.

My question is, has anyone here had the C6 Peptide test?  How accurate do you feel this test is?  Thanks everyone, in advance.

Thanks for the response. I just returned from my LLMD appointment and received copies of my labs. He ran a C6 Lyme peptide through 2 different labs. I was very high on both. One was 4.13 the other lab registered 6.19, with <1.0 being positive. I was just curious if others had this test run and what they thought of it. Thanks again for the response.

Slide 3/4 of the way down through this article to where it begins: "The C6 Lyme Peptide ELISA" :

and this also:

I believe this will help answer your question.
C6 Peptide definitely the more preferred choice in first-line defense for testing.
Absolutely over the screening titer.
It is covered by most insurance carriers.
Ultimately, we still need that Gold Standard Test!

Yes, thanks for the info. My LLMD, says that is one he definitely uses. He actually ran mine through 2 different labs. Interesingly enough, they both came back high positive, but one lab was 4.13 and the other was 6.19. The blood was drawn on the same day/same time. It shows what discrepancies there are with the testing.
