I'm starting to wonder if the well known neurologist I saw last year was right about my brain lesions...they are in the periventricular white matter, which is common for MS but also common for Migraine. I do not get migraines any more (knock on wood) but I did have migraine w/aura as a child. I wouldn't be able to talk or read and would have zero peripheral vision. I'm only concerned about this because I was thinking today that my lesions are pretty big (14mm and 1 cm) but they were there within months of my first symptom (dizziness). I know that people can have lesions and no symptoms and they can have symptoms and no lesions...but maybe these lesions really were from my bad migraines as a child (?) They say lesions are much more common in people that get the aura accompanying the migraine.
Current treatment (began June 10th 2009):
Biaxin 1000mg/day, Pulsing Flagyl 500mg/day 1 Week Every Month
"...and isn't it a kind of madness to be living by a code of silence when you've really got a lot to say...?"

I have LARGE white lesions on my brain and have Lyme. Never had headaches until babesia and they were constant for over 2 years straight-maybe those lesions are from that. I went to a few "well known neurologists" who said there was absolutely nothing wrong with me-even though I wanted to rip my head off from the pain. I knew they were wrong. and they were. I had Lyme and co-infections and needed antibiotics and more.
Diagnosed 2003 Lyme, Babesia, Bartonella, Micoplasma,Hashimotos Thyroiditis. Have had since early nineties. [/color]
