All the same thing? Perhaps each causes the other or something like that?

I have been reading about different protocols that are used to treat all three illnesses...they are a combination of doxycycline, azithromycin, possibly minocycline (in place of doxy) and pulsing flagyl. People dx with MS have claimed to be 'cured'. Some said they were dx with chronic lyme as well. Funny how treatments for all of these are similar...I'm going to talk to my doctor about this when I see him next.

The protocols that I've read the best results with are either the Wheldon Protocol or the Stratton/Vanderbilt Protocol. Read about them if you'd like. I'm sure going to!

People with CPN, MS, and Lyme have all reported great success. Perhaps this is because all of these illnesses are interchangeable or causative of one another...leading us to believe if we can eliminate them, we can rid ourselves of the states of illness we are in now (?)

Current treatment (began June 10th 2009):
Biaxin 1000mg/day, Pulsing Flagyl 500mg/day 1 Week Every Month

If you Wiki Lyme, Cpn and mycoplasma, it explains the differences in these bacteria.  With a weakened immune system from one of these, the others may be opportunistic infections.

When we start treating the Cpn, I think we're going to do Doxy and Rifampin with Flagyl pulsed.  I have a low cortisol problem and I think we'll try to treat adrenal fatigue before starting in on the Cpn.

I tested 2 years ago from an LLMD for CPN he never even acknowledged the test. My new LLMD which is a Nuerologist in CT. put me on the Stratton/Vanderbilt protocol and believes this will help with my MS like disease. He believes also if that Dr would have treated it I would not be where I am today. Thankx to the other Dr who tested me made me pay for it, it came back definitly positive for current infection and never treated it. He also retested the Lyme and if that is posiyive for the 9th time he will do IV antibiotics for 90 days again.

He believes there is definitly a connection.
