My doctor did an ultrasound after we saw a nodule on the thyroid, it showed an enlarged thyroid as well as the nodules. This is a sign of Hashimotos as well as the rapid increase in pain I am experiencing. Whaat am I going to do I am freaking out! I am worse everyday. So they (I read that in Burrascano's guidelines the true guidelines) say that Lyme throws off the pituitary axis which involves the thyroid resulting in hashimotos. This is my theory on why at 25 this is happening.
Today I woke up and could not walk. I had to call my dad on the phone from downstairs to come and carry the baby Mia up the stairs to get up in the morning. Then I barely made it up the stairs myself.
Now usually the pain in my feet leaves me in a few seconds or minutes. Not today! Today it felt like hanging around. It finally left one foot after 3 hours after waking. but the right foot still has a bit of pain right now. To day was worse than yesterday. So i am afraid to go to sleep and feel what tomorrow brings.
This foot pain is Bartonella i believe.
It feels like my feet are tight like they want to shrivel up like the wicken witch or the east. so when i want to put the foot down to walk it stays tight when it needs to stretch out a bit as weight is put on it walking and it is tight but the muscles are trieing to break through maybe the tight tendons whatever it is doing this, is strong today.
Today was its best day ever.

Today it wanted to spend some time with me. I think its in love.
The line is faded not showing where Lyme came in. I became a new Mommy n my Lyme decided to show itself. Swollen elephant like knee and finger and limiting back pain. Bell's palsey, weight loss as if I had no muscle on my bones anymore. And much more text book lyme symptoms. To a Lyme doc, after alot of there is nothing wrong with you and a recommend to counceling,he said V this is Lyme. What kept me pressing on I had Lyme while I was pregnant. I know I was not infected while pregnant. I am watching her with an eagle eye. God Bless everyone. Love Veronica. Were the ones who know about Lyme not the doctors. Isnt that just mad? Backwards. V, i am so sorry your going thro all this. it is a good thing you had your day there to help you. i to have trouble with my feet hurting. but mine usually hurt at night or in the late evenings. if its bart i'll never know as not 1 DR i have been to yet said a word about co infections. they wont even acknowledge the positive lyme test i have.

have you talked to your DR about your feet? maybe he/she can give you something to help. and you need to tell them about not being able to walk at all upon waking. after all you do have a small child at home to care for.

i'm praying for you :)

Hi Veromia,
I know what you mean about your feet. I am going through something very similar.

Like your sx, my lower back, legs & feet issues started very suddenly about 1 1/2 weeks ago.

Although, I do know that I am paying the price for over-doing for the last 6 weeks.

BUT how could I pass up the opportunity of being with my new grandson???

Also, this is not the first time for this to happen for me. Right around 2004, I stared having issues with my legs not wanting to work.

One thing I have noticed for me, is that if I try too hard to make my legs move - the less they will sork at that point.

I have to take a deep cleansing breath, and focus on relaxing, then I at least get some movement.

Have you considered that the issues your having with your legs & feet are a result of back issues??

It's just a thought to consider. I know that my leg & feet issues are definitely a sx of my lower back.

What ever you find out @ your LLMD visit, I would really like to 'hear' what he/she thinks -- if you don't mind. =)

I hope you can find some encouragement here & from your LLMD.

Good luck~
