I also have something new that I can't find any info on - the skin inside my mouth is pealing.

I have my two cups of coffee (cheaper than the med that would do the same thing), then switch to water that I add lemon juice to.

I have an acidic taste in my mouth frequently & have discovered that lemon in my water helps. On most days, I drink an average 4 - 6 qts of just water.

Soooooo, any thoughts?
Thanks,
Trav

Traveler,

Do you think that maybe the lemon in your water could be causing the peeling? Lemon is very acidic. Maybe try backing off and see what happens.

Thankx CG, I was going to stop it tomorrow - I forgot & put it into my water so far!!

Geez!!

Hey 1bitten,
I have not been tested for co's or the HHV-6. Back in 1986, a doc dxed me with Acute, chronic EBV. Told me I would need uppers every morning & downers every night for the rest of my life!! Sure scared me!!

Uppers and downers? What kind of uppers were they going to give you? I remember how bad I felt with EBV. I wish I had something back then that helped!

I was just told that high HHV-6 titers can cause peeling and sores in the mouth. I was told this by a very well respected Forensic Tropical and Travel Disease Dr.

The inside of my mouth has been peeling, on and off for several years. Even before my suspect tick bite. I have HHV6 and mono. Is there any way that I had one or both of these before my tick bite, and so then I could not fight the SOB's diseases?? (lyme and babs)
Bit 1972: Acute and chronic tonsillitis, UTI, miscarraige, appendicitis, hypoglycemia,  chronic neck pain w/ crushed vertibrae, chronic severe back pain, mitral valve prolapse, depression, resolution?
Bit Mother's Day 2007: Lyme, Babesia microti, hypothyroidism, EBV, HHV6, Parvovirus B19, low adrenals &misc other hormones, depression, anxiety, more of the above.
What don't these nasty bugs cause?
CD57= 60, so we're in pretty good shape.

Hey CG - smilewinkgrin

+Lyme -
From what I understand, ehm - well from what I can remember of what I understood, Lyme just loves to lay dormant for many years, even decades, but when the time is 'right' (ie - your body is under some kind of attack) Lyme will actually begin to manifest.

In my case I was exposed to ticks from an infant, but my mother & I believe that I started showing sx at the age of 5 or 7. I always seemed to be 'behind the eight ball' when it came to my health.

I seemed to always be suffering from tonsillitis, pink eye, cold sores, mono & the like. Actually back when I was a senior in h.s., I actually had mono 4 times that year, plus infections of 'unknown cause', and had to have surgery on my right knee - only for the doc to find a 'perfectly healthy' knee.
Sooo, I'm thinking I've gotten off track enough in this post~ turn

Thanks for all of your posts!! I truly wouldn't know what I would do without the support, giggles, and info that HW provides for me!
