I am about 20 days into recovery from the surgery I had on my shoulder. The improvement already is incrdible. I am just REALLY irritated by the length of time that I have been dealing with this and it could have been helped with a simple surgery. I have been debilitated for 5 years, unable to use my arms. The pain has made me suicidal at times, for real. My last 2 Lyme docs wrote the pain off as a Lyme symptom. ----It was not!! I have structual problems that needed to be tended to.---I was the one to seek out One more orthopedic doc. If I had not done this I would still be paying some osteopath quack that my doc. that my doctor referred me to. This guy didnt take insurance. A lot of money. anyway, if you have a persistant problem, it may not be a symptom of Lyme. Get it checked out.

I have always urged people to have other things checked and to not "ignore" your body.

I feel we get so locked into the Lyme diagnosis, that sometimes we do not look outside of the box, nor do some of the LLMD's.

We have to remember that even if we were "healthy" people, there are other stuff that can and will go on with our body.

Good for you for fighting this...sorry it took so long.  May you feel much better very soon!

Stutterbug, What kind of surgery did you have?  I have been dealing with shoulder pain (from an injury) for quite some time.  Not as bad as what you describe, but all the ortho did was xray it and send me to PT.  I couldn't afford the PT so I never finished.  Did they do an MRI to diagnose your problem?  Thanks, KO
2001 symptoms started:
Tingling in fingers and toes both sides, not tested at that time for LD
2007 Summer tested pos. WB, diagnosed with LD, tested neg for co-infections thru Igenex
Abx - Doxy 100mg 2x/day for 3 weeks (before diagnosis)
Amoxicillin 1gm 2x/day for 1 month
Amoxicillin 1gm 3x/day with Probenecid 500mg 2x/day  5 months
Currently on Dr. Zhang's protocol stopped Zhang's after 6 months symptoms returned.  Started Buhner's protocol May 2009
