Boy boy, what next? All of my knuckles on my right hand and my hand itself was swollen. I took a picture of both hands side by side to show the difference between the two. I'm going to show this to my new doctor. Ugh! I just want to scream sometimes! It's gone down a little but my fingers are real stiff. Does anyone else have this problem? Could it be Lyme arthritis?

Sounds like it could be arthritis. There are mornings that I wake up and my fingers and legs feel like they are retaining water, a very uncomfortable feeling. Sometimes it lasts a few hours, other times a day or so. I am not surprised anymore when it comes to this disease! I would definitely tell your dr. about it.

Keep us posted!

Thanks Sophie. My knuckles have been swelling a tiny bit off and on, on my right hand but nothing like yesterday. They were stiff and hurt pretty bad. They are back to normal now though.

glad that passed CajunGrl - it's been my primary daily issue so I know how freaky it is. If it happens again, you can try gently massaging with arnica gel, or using a gel icepack, or alternating hot and cold packs - all these seem to work for me
