I've been having particular problems with my pain being more severe in the arm, and leg where I got bites, more so than anywhere else in my body.

Though I do have overall general pain all the time.

It's weird though,  because the pain spefically in my arm and leg have the most pain where the bites occurred,  but,  not in the same kind of pain nor in the same place in my other arm and other leg.  Does anyone have the same thing and have any of your docs looked into it also?

Hi strongmom,

I have read others on this forum mention the same thing but I do not know what causes this. Just a note to let you know you are not the only one.

Best wishes, bablymers mom

Thank you.  I wonder if anyone has had skin or tissue extracted from these areas for testing?

I mean,  if pain is returning to the site of the bite,  maybe there is something measurable that is still present at the point of entry,  or a test that can be done to show more details about what a person is infected with?

Kind of like taking a mole or tumor to check for cancer,  or testing fluids in areas where there is swelling in the body, etc.

Do any of you,  have any of you had this?  Have any docs been able to explain it or done any testing?  Thank you so much for you responses.

Sorry to be bumping this up but I really would like to know if anyone has recurring pain at the site of their original bite/bites,  more so than the pain at other locations in the body.

Is this something that would require an MRI etc to see if muscle or tissue damage has occurred or is it just normal to have more pain at these sites.  I cant find anything about this on the internet.

I found a great site that lists different skin reactions after a tick bite:

Skin Reactions Include:

•Pus-filed bumps
•Hardened Skin Elevations
•Nodules (grandulomas), that in rare cases, can grow large enough to require surgical removal.

You may want to have it checked just to be sure it's not a growth.

I was bitten at the hairline and the entire bull's eye rash area had chunks (and I mean chunks) of skin peel away. I still have headaches at the site, and the skin is like a baby's bottom. On my second round of abx and praying that this is it...but I know it isn't because I still feel lousy, can't think straight, have headaches like never before and ache all over. Next move is to infectious disease specialist...:(
