Hi everyone,
I have not been on here in a long time!  I must admit I got a little irritated when I posted one time, and the site linked my post to an advertisement for doctors.  And since most doctors are not lyme literate I was not too happy.
I am well now... but 2 years, 8 months ago I was just finishing up a 8 month course of consistent antibiotics.  1 year before that I thought I was dying.  Could not walk 3 stairs without being out of breath.
I remember posting here that I could not understand how some people could exercise, as I was so sick.
AND...now I am back to exercising over 2 years now and ready to run my FIRST marathon. I am doing it because "I can!"
So you can get better from Lyme or the Lyme-Like Illness... so many of us have.
I see a few names I recognize....but I also see a lot of people are gone from this site now and that is a GOOD thing.
Not too many people post after they get well.
I want the people who are the sickest to see that you can get well.  I didn't think it was possible either, but I hung in there.  It took almost 3 years, but I am very well now with no apparent residual.
Just wanted to let everyone know that I am going to run that marathon, I talked about so often.
If I finish I will let everyone know.
Take care

Hi violets,
I remember reading your posts of how sick you were. running a marathon is an amazing feat lyme or no lyme so congrats to you. i always thought about training for one myself, but not sure I could run that much. I used to do 3 miles a day and i loved it. I had a baby 18 months ago and am just now starting to work out again. She keeps me pretty busy. But i do still think about training for a marathon. Please let us know how you do.
I am so glad you are well now. Keep us the exercise so you don't relapse and you will have a great future ahead of you.
