I haven't felt this bad in a long time.  My left knee is swollen and hurts, my stomach hurts, my wrists and thumbs ache and have no strength... I'm on my period.... hydrocodone doesn't work like oxycodone (haha - probably a good thing).  I'm going to be tested for vitamin and mineral levels and see my GYN Monday and have to have my hormone levels checked.  My antibody test to the pneumonia vaccine was "fair" - huh?  I'm not sure what the test is called, but there are 16 areas tested.  On my first test, I reacted to 1 of 16... after the vaccine I reacted to 4 of 16.  Dr. C called it a "fair" response, so no gamma globulin... which I guess is a good thing... with my luck I'd wind up with a LD infected blood product and end up being committed (at best).  I restart IV Invanz probably 10/05.  This time I get a PICC line - yeah!  Jeez, of all the things in the world to be "happy" about.  And I restart Flagyl... blah, blah, blah... I know the routine... you guys know the routine.

BUT TO TOP IT ALLLLLL OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  My husband and stepdaughters are out of the country and my youngest step-daughter's refridgerator busted and leaked and flooded a hallway and bedroom (and of course it's a condo and of course it's on the top floor).... OH AND OF COURSE MY HUSBAND'S EX-WIFE DOESN'T WANT TO PAY FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And I haven't heard from my husband or kids since Monday and I have no way to reach them.  SO I TOLD THE EX-WIFE THAT WE'D PAY FOR IT IF SHE WOULD JUST GET IT DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Come to find out she already has a 3pm appt. with Serv-Pro to clean up the flooded mess.... SHE JUST WANTED ME TO ASSURE HER THAT SHE WOULD GET REIMBURSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  AAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH - This is not the first time she's pulled $$ stunts but I always think it's going to be the last time.  I'm just greatful she's at least going to be present when the worker's get there.  I'm in no shape for this and don't even think I have a set of keys................ and yes, my step-monsters are spoiled and their "DAD" usually takes care of big expenses for them..... so why not this time too?????  God forbid this woman would just "handle" one of her children's expenses WHILE THEY'RE OUT OF THE FRIGGIN' COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And - YES SHE CAN AFFORD IT!

I have been through physical he11 since Sunday with throwing up, the cold shakes, swollen joints and migraines and doctor appointments.  This is what happens whenever they pull the abx's from me.... and my phone friend, best-buddy??? The ex-wife.  smhair turn smilewinkgrin shocked skull shocked smilewinkgrin turn smhair

Jennifer ~

Crap sandwich! Would you like fries with that?

Your title caught my eye because that's how I've been feeling with the Ketek Herx from Hell.

When something somewhat emergent happens in my life, it's another rude awakening that reminds me I'm not like the majority of others because Lyme disease has ruined my ability to cope effectively. The adrenalin jumps in for awhile, followed by a crash and burn after the dust settles.

Just line up all the people who have peeved you, and one by one, slap them silly! (Better though, just picture it unless you want the authorities to finally take you away to Looney Land.)

Seriously though, I really hope you're feeling better soon, and I'll be crossing my fingers for you for when you start IV Invanz on October 5th.

Hugs,
spaztick

FINAL UPDATE - My husband FINALLY called... and he's fine with everything.... and he's going to reimburse his EX (as always...... duh).

What I'd really like to do is get one of those big Everlast punching bags and some boxing gloves and just punch and kick the shinola off of it.... but my hands hurt so bad right now it's just not feasible. And I keep seeing signs for boxing being taught at the local gyms (currently germ factories for me). One of these days, when I'm well, that's what I'm going for.

When I worked I was on one of the "bowling" teams - haha! (But it's one of the few sports where you can drink and smoke on the playing field!... the others being darts and pool - both of which I really suck at). I used to imagine peoples faces on the bowling pins and then whamo, at least 2 or 3 of them would fall - lol! But, bowling is definitly out too... for now.

Thanks everyone for responding. I am finely physically feeling a little better and I think the pain medication is doing a decent job... just took 2 days to kind of kick in and stop upsetting my stomach so much.

Oh my, what a story!  Sorry, I am cracking up laughing behind my monitor, LOL!

Jelaine, when you start feeling better, I think you should take up boxing, hey, I'll even join you!  After watching Million Dollar Baby with Hillary Swank it doesn't look that hard (except for the tournaments).  But I would want Clint to be my trainer even if he tells me that I'm over the hill!  smilewinkgrin

Jelaine,

No matter what you go through, you always seem to make it kind of funny. You are definitely strong girl! I wish I was more like you.

I'm sorry you went through that but you sure made me giggle, lol.

Let us know how the picc line works out. I'm getting mine in a few weeks too. I wish we could meet up somewhere. That would be cool.
