Hi all,

Let's have some fun okay?  If you were to pick out a house (my only requirement is that the house MUST have a fireplace or woodstove) which house would you pick?  My bestest friend's daughter's hubby is in construction so if the house needs work, that's not a problem...

Oh, the most I want to spend is $225.00 tops, the less the better...

or if that link doesn't work:

and click on Single Family (don't want a condo), Bennington.  Tell me what you like as I'm open to all suggestions except homes on a large hill, don't want to slide down the driveway, I live on a hill now..

I just went to the last link you posted, but there looked to be a possible (if I was looking) @ 313 Taylor Dr., Peacham, VT!!!

LOL Traveler, I didn't even know there was a town called Peacham, does the mean there are Peach Tree's and a person peach's em?

I like this house but I would get rid of all the carpet:

It's 821 Silk Road, Bennington for $225,000

There's a large river right in the backyard.. Now how cool is that?

Problem is the house is just for me and they make homes BIG up there and I do NOT, repeat NOT, want to be cleaning a 4 bedroom house!  nono

Giggle, Deejavu!!!
I have a house that is less than 1,000 sq.ft. - I HATE to clean!!!! And windows!! uhg!! I hate windows, so that house would have too many windows for me!! Remember, with a woodstove your windows will actually get "oily"
- a real pain, if you ask me!!! I'd much rather be sitting outside doing nothing or playing with my pups!!!

Although the river that close would be pretty cool!! I get to fish the White River, in Cotter, AR. Supposedly the "trout capital of the world". But mostly I just go down to the creek that runs through town - decent enough for catch & release, & close enough that I can go even if I'm not up to a 20 minute drive to get to the White!! VEERRRY important!!!

Yeppers!! YANK all the carpeting out!!! I have nothing but hardwood floors & ceramic tile in my house! I use only throw rugs in the winter!!

But a very pretty home - IMO!!
