I've mentioned in previous posts that I've been on treatment for 14 months, the latest is minocycline, rifamprin and pulsing in tindamax.

Anyways, I have noticed in the last few days certain symptoms that have become really prevalent. When I think back, I've probably had them for a while. As I am dealing with the ms/als symptoms, I am really concerned. These symptoms are as follows:

ringing in left ear (had this before in right ear, now is back in left)
tingling in my mouth/throat area, I've had from the beginning, lately it is almost like something is eating away at me in there - I feel like it has begun to affect my speech
I go to grab something, and I miss it
While lying in bed, I have involuntary limb movement.

A myriad of other symptoms - muscle twitching, tingling/vibrating down legs as well

I have been waiting for a prescription refill and therefore tapering off meds as I was running out. My doctor thinks I am having a herx. I don't know what to think and am beginning to think this is als.

I guess I am wondering if anyone else shares these symptoms.

Thanks!

I have all of those symptoms. Much much worse during a herx. The ear ringing switches ears for me too but mostly my left one. All of my twitching and numbness and vibrating sensations are always on my left side.

Thanks for posting. . .oh and I forgot to mention, I also have this strange feeling in my abdomen, kind of a tingling, numbness. Again, I've had this for a while, but it seems to have become way more prevalent.

I deal with those kinds of sx as well, not a whole lot of fun. Although, hubby got a kick when I turned up one am with a black

eye!!! He didn't think it was quite so funny when he ended up in the wrong place at the right time!!

I especially hate missing what I'm trying to grab - or set down. I handle as little glass or breakables as I possible can because of this.

I feel like it could be the result of a herx. A herx is a worsening of sx, and/or new sx, which is created by the die-off.

Are you doing anything to detox? It should lessen the severity of the herxes, once your body is 'caught up' with the die offs. Just a thought.

Hi Kelly,

I have all of those symptoms as well. I have really hard jerking of the head, hands/arms and now I have whole body jerking. I slur my words sometimes or put two words together. I'm special in that area, lol. I have the numbness too. I've had it in my stomach area and now it's on the top of my left foot. I also try to grab things out of my purse and my hand misses. My doctor toldme that these symptoms were neurological symptoms of Lyme. Bartonella can also cause some of these.

I tell my husband that I am special. No one else in my family can do it, lol. I'm so creative, hehe.

My hubby just walks away clean!!!

Now, my Mom always told me I was "special"- and when I was ready, some really nice men in white suits would come - with this really neat 'huggy jacket' where I could just huuug myself & huuuggg myself - & take me to this really nice, soft room, 'cause all the walls & the floor will be padded!!!
