A nurse finally came out yesterday and changed my PICC dressing and took my BP and it was THROUGH THE ROOF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Like 190/116, etc. She took it 6x.  Then a nurse cames out this morning and my BP is 184/104................  so I got to make that special 45 minute trip to Dr. C's office.  My BP has always been low.... I've only had 1 semi-hi reading in 10 years.  Anyway, now I'm on HB meds. just to get through the Invanz IV.

I AM SO OVER THIS.  E V E R Y  S I N G L E  D A Y for almost 10 years something has gone wrong.... I know you all know and I know you are all going through the same thing, but I just needed to B*&^%$%^!!!!!

Also, when I got my PICC on Mon., the nurse said she had put in 5 PICC lines the week-end prior, and 4 of them were for Lyme disease patients!

I'm really sorry the two of you have to deal with high BP along with everything else.

So far, so good for me - but I do keep waiting for my turn. Why not?? There's so much that has gone wonky with me over the last 10 yrs, especially.

I do hope that any meds you take for high BP work well for you, and don't cause a bunch more sx.

I know, I'm a special kind of worm - haha!  Since I did have one Herx reaction approx. 4-5 years ago and really felt cured/normal for several days... I'm convinced it's still the Lyme/Bartonella.  And, when I go off the abx's, I just go straight down hill.  However, I have not been on IV abx's for longer then 4-6 weeks at a time (about 5 different times).  So this time, they're going to try to leave me on the Invanz IV for as long as possible..... Once I get cured, watch out world.... if they didn't know about LD before, they will with my big mouth - haha!

Jelaine,

I can not tell  you how many times I read your posts and my heart really goes out to you and how you have been suffering.   I wish you would try a different protocol (yes, I read that you tried some natural medicines and they made you feel sick).  I don't know what you tried, I know what I tried and they didn't help me.  Darn, I would hate to see you taking years and years of antibiotics..   I had a friend who was a patient of Dr. Burrascano for several years (over 10) and she didn't make it taking IV's of antibiotics..   He never once mentioned detoxing to her until I met her and explained it all.  It was a sheer accident that I met her husband in town who was so concerned about her and I went to visit her, she was in a wheelchair and had lost her eye sight..    It was so very sad.   I don't want this happening to you or anyone else.

Anyway, you said that as soon as you go off antibiotics you feel worse and that reminded me of something Dr. Jernigan wrote in one of his Townsend letters:

"Some people only feel good if they are taking the antibiotics. This is possibly due to the fact that some antibiotics work by impeding the growth of bacteria without actually killing them. Again we see an unacceptable solution, since this leads to years of dependency upon antibiotics. This is justified by some, due to the relief the treatment provides, even though it is but again simply a drug-induced illusion of health. "

Hope this helps a bit,
Denise

For over a year straight, I drove from Tampa to Orlando once or twice a week and rented a hotel room and stayed for days... I was on various "things" including Aerophytotherapy and:
DHEA - 7KETO, Travacor, NT Factor, Lipotropic, B12/Folic, UDO's oil, Bromelain Forte, Adrecor, Myers Cocktails, Saventaro, Burbur, Pregnenolone, Biaxin, Diflucan, Transfer Factor Plus, Transfer Factor Multi-immune, Flagyl, Doxycicline, Cat's Claw, Resveratrol, Zithromycin, IV Glutathione, IV Vitamin C, Vicumforce, Lymphomyosot, Chlorella, Reacted Mag.... plus other things I can't remember or find right now.

So, with all due respect, I have tried almost everything out there.... including acupuncture, massage, detoxing, Epsom salt, Peroxide, etc. At this point, I would stand on my head in a corner and eat cat sh&% if I knew it would make me better. I'm sticking with Dr. C and a long-term IV abx protocol... which is something I have NOT tried yet, so that's what I'm doing now. That's why this PICC line has GOT TO WORK and that is why my BP HAS TO GET LOWER. Thanks guys.

Jelaine,

Take a deep breath and try to relax. Go fill your tub full of water and lite some candles. Listen to some soothing music while your soaking.

I know it's easier said than done when you're feeling bad but it can't hurt to try it. That's what I love about Batherapy. I put some in my water and it relaxes everything. I get out feeling like I want to sleep.

FYI- The BP meds you're on may make you feel a little down when you first start taking them. My husband experienced this.

Jelaine, I'm so sorry you're feeling so bad and am also sending you big hugs. I understand all too well where you're coming from and hope the meds kick in and you get some relief very soon. Not so long ago I felt exactly like you do and hate that you feel this way. It will pass and yes the picc line will work and your blood pressure will come down. Hang in there.

I can just offer you a wish for true healing very soon! You've had your dose of trials, this IV treatment MUST work!

Probably tick bite August 2007, while 8 months pregnant, February 2008, Dx - Reactive Arthritis, which never ended... Elisa IgM and IgG both Negative, Western Blot IgM - Negative
2nd dx April 2009 - probably seronegative Lyme disease, treatments so far 2 week abx twice, Currently no meds, but naturopathic supplements
