I've never had a burning, just a crawling sensation. My dad has cirrhosis and gets ammonia in his brain. He's never experienced a burning sensation. He usually gets really confused and doesn't know what he's doing or saying. His speech is also very slurred when this happens. In fact, they thought it was a stroke before they figured out it was ammonia.

Finding721: I have this symptom and even posted a few months back asking if anyone had the burning head. I can actually feel the heat on  top with my head with  my hand. Sometimes the burning goes into the spine as well. Can you feel the heat on the top of your head? The top of my head also swells. D

Dowa, it was SO good to hear from you!! Yes i felt the heat on my head- does this go away for you or does it just stay there? This is my first time feeling it, but i am so glad to hear someone else has it- have you found what relieves it? Perhaps a lot of detoxing?

Hi Finding,
I also get that feeling, but usually it's my whole body feeling toxic as well.Althoug I would describe it as more of a acid burn type of feeling.

I believe this 'acid burn' feelinf comes before every migraine I get - although it's hard for me to tell - I go from feeling worse to feeling likd my head really should explode before I will feel

any better. Maybe that's the migraine talking (Have a mild migraine now). I have yet to find anything to help with this, although I do have to admit, I haven't looked to hard. It's just hard enough to get through all the ickies.

So is this ammonia or what?

Traveler: I get that feeling too before a migraine. I also have a mild headache. I've been having it for two days now. I'm sitting here waiting for it to get bad....because it will. I'm going to try advil liquid gels for migraines next.

Yeppers!! know what you mean, CG!! I'm up still because of that stupid headache!!

Dr. J has some interesting thoughts on things like ammonia on the brain & how a 'cold body' (NO!! not a dead one - although I DO feel more dead than alive at times) actually

holds on to the toxins. do you know what your temp usually is?? I know a lot of us deal with a lowered 'normal' body temp. Mine is 97.4. To get an accurate reading, take you r temp before you even get out of bed - a little

difficult for me as I'm usually in bad need of a bathroom!!!

I'll find where Dr. J talks about ammonia in the am - so I dont' misquote anything!!

Hey guys- still waiting for my book! Yes- acid feeling is how i would describe it! I need to start checking my temp in the morning too! So is this ammonia?? I mean i know we all have it up there, but how come for some of us it burns?? My hand was burning red too the other day. Freaky. Anyway, I think i need to do more detoxing and maybe some colon and liver cleansing. Right now it is just one spot on my head that is burniing- STRANGE. Well good night folks- i'm actually turning in early tonight. Yes- pleases do share what you are learning Traveler- I can't wait to get my copy! :)

p.s so to detox our bodies need to be in warm/hot environment? does anyone not sweat when they do the detox bath? my friend says she sweats but i dont... hmmm... and oh another symptom poll- anyone with limbs that just fall asleep? i mean i get tingling on and off all day but my leg always goes to sleep when im on the toliet. LOL

Traveler: I'm sitting here trying to remember what I want to say to you and finding and I keep forgetting. I still cannot believe I was in college last year. There is no way that I could remember anything right now. Anyway, my temp has been low in the mornings for a few years now. I just put it off as symptoms of my low thyroid. I didn't know that toxins could cause that. Interesting!

finding: My hands fall asleep all the time. Sometimes my legs do too depending on how I am sitting. I just thought that was me getting older, lol.

You might want to invest in a portable infrared fir sauna. It helps alot in the detoxing process.

I've had a lot of trouble with legs going to sleep in positions that most people can be in far longer than I can (such as sitting on the floor...can't do it at all without my legs starting to tingle within 1 minute)....

My head gets tingling sensations in it, but I can't say I've had the burning sensation there...

For Migraines, I've found avoiding gluten and corn most helpful (I'm allergic to corn, and sensitive/intolerant to gluten). I used to need Imitrex for my migraines, but haven't taken any of it since going on a gluten & corn-free diet (started July 2005).

Golly, I have written about ammonia for years now!   Not only did I suffer from an overload of ammonia in my brain and body but know other's who have as well.

In my case I had severe brain fog, memory problems (I remember times at my bank where I was trying to write a check and I couldn't write it!), the words of the amount just wouldn't connect in my brain.  I also had really bad joint pain all over my body and the only thing that cleared all the ammonia out was Dr. J's Neuro-Antitox CNS/PNS formula.   Great stuff!

One of my friends (who was misdiagnosed as having Fibro for over 30 years when she really had lyme) went to Dr. J's clinic and arrived with her liver shutting down from an overload of ammonia, she almost died right there at this clinic, no kidding.  Dr. J. worked on her liver to clear out ammonia for 2 or 3 weeks before treating her for lyme.   I wasn't there but I believe he used 2 of the ingredients in the CNS/PNS formula, the Silphium and the Pale Spike Lobelia.

As far as core body temperature, Dr. J. writes alot about that.  First he advises that everyone find out their core body temperature by taking their temp. first thing upon awakening..   If it's low that says alot about your body and there are many ways to raise one's core body temperature such as the mustard/pepper detox foot bath (recipe is in the detoxing section) as well as using a sauna.

Hope this helps,
Denise

Hi Finding,

No, I highly doubt your liver is shutting down..  My friend was misdiagnosed as having Fibro for over 30 years when she really had lyme.

It takes many many years to get to that point so please do not worry, I don't think you had lyme for 30 years.   Just read and learn right now and if you can, detox.

Just relax, I didn't mean to scare you.

Deejavu,
do you think one can use chilli pepper instead of cayenne pepper in the detox foot bath? Lady in the spices shop gave me chilli instead of cayenne and I asked her particularly if she had got that type.. my fault.. should have checked her.. anyway, may I still use the chilli? normally I am quite allergic to all hot and spicy food when i eat it.

Probably tick bite August 2007, while 8 months pregnant, February 2008, Dx - Reactive Arthritis, which never ended... Elisa IgM and IgG both Negative, Western Blot IgM - Negative
2nd dx April 2009 - probably seronegative Lyme disease, treatments so far 2 week abx twice, Currently no meds, but naturopathic supplements

finding,

I think you're fine. My dad has cirrhosis of the liver and gets ammonia in his brain alot. He usually turns jaundice(yellow), when his liver is toxic.

Hi bembuks,

I really don't know..  According to Wikipedia, some chili powders have other ingredients such as cumin, oregano, garlic powder, salt, etc.   You can try it but I would check the ingredients first.

As far as cayenne pepper, if you do decide to use that, use a tiny little bit and see what happens.

Will anyone consider talking on the phone? I don't mean to be a pest but this is really hard for me right now. I am doing a liver flush- yes, and i'm scared out of my little polluted mind. I hate not knowing what may happen next and i haven't even recieved my book yet for a little encouragement- hopefully this week. Part of me feels so sick i just want to order Dr J's botanicals already and take the risk. I know i need the anti tox. If more people that are well would take the time to post like Denise does maybe we would all be greatly encouraged. Ive actually gone searching on the net just to find testimonies- but they are usually on product websites- and i always wonder how long ago they were written and if the person is still well. Denise has been well for years now. I need my health back i have babies and parents that dont know or believe what is going on. I really would love to talk to someone. Thank you for all your support. :)

Hey Finding,
I have lived with the crawly itchy feeling, along with very sharp pains, more of a tinglely feeling, & burning feeling for many years now. A lot of the time it's an indicator of neuro damage, or neuro Lyme.

The scope of thses sx's is soooo wide!!! Some days, things change so much that I can experience most of the things I stated above all in 1 day!!!

That's why I'm planning to do quite a bit of detoxing before I start going after any infections.
