Hi Everyone -

Hubby has elevated liver enzymes and his LLMD suggested he see a GI doc who specializes in the liver.  He stomach is bloated, swollen and very painful to the touch.  ot sure how worried we should be.  He sure does need his liver.
He has been on antibiotics for about 8 years as well as IV rocephin - the longest for just that was a picc line for 11 months.

Has anyone else had this sort of touble and if so what helped????

Hi Hope,

He definitely needs to get checked out. Having high liver enzymes with his other symptoms can be serious.

Was he put on anything to prevent his gallbladder from slugging? Your gallbladder and liver work hand and hand and sometimes Rocephin can cause gallstones.

When he gets this all resolved, make sure he does detox baths regularly so he get all of those toxins out.

Let us know what the doctor says. He will probably have to do an ultra sound and an MRI. They may even do a biopsy to see what's causing the swelling.

I just thought of something else. Is he taking anything to support his liver like Milk Thistle?

You add Epsom salt and Hydrogen peroxide to a bath. If you look at the sticky at the top of the forum tittled, "New To Lyme?....Start Here!", you will find the information you need on detoxing on the second post.

You may also want to get a water proof picc line cover since he has a picc line. If you look in the sticky, there's also a link to Brown Medical to purchase a water proof picc line cover.
