Well, I was pretty grumpy when I read that, but then I read the comments. The post may be about movies, but most of the comments are about Lyme disease! It makes me a little happier to see the actual article getting ignored in favor of that one comment!

Yeah, Nicky: Calling hundreds of thousands of sick people a 'cult' is pretty nasty and extremely ignorant. I wonder what they think of this response?

Somebody ought to make a documentary out of that critic's article and the responses to it.

Right about now Mr.Gleiberman probably has his foot in his mouth. LOL The only good thing about this, it will help to bring more exposure to Under our skin, and the plight of those suffering with Lyme disease.

I'm pretty new to this and don't even know how accurate the last comment on the critic's article I read was, but that writer said we're all crazy to rely on the Western Blot test because "everybody" knows it comes out positive most of the time. That's not what I've heard; is that statistically correct?

I was very angry after I read his comment but I feel better now after reading everyone elses comments defending people with Lyme Disease.

People are finally speaking up. They are tired of being ignored and talked bad about.

I'm very happy to see all the reply's!! He must have really struck a nerve. I wonder if it was his comment of us Lymies being a "cult" or maybe it was the fact he called Under Our Skin " paranoid leftist fervor"

It would be nice to receive an apology.

this may sound bad, but big deal. This attitude is not new and I am over it. over hunting for a doctor, over not knowing what the heck is going on., and over people not believing. so, some idiot voiced his opinion. Lets move on.

Just read Dr. Tara Brooke Nelson Naturopathic Physician comments
WOOHOO! Way to go!

Being new to lyme. It feels so good to hear some of these comments. I am still not used to this attitude. I love the way you can have a voice on the internet!

Stutterbug,

This is just my opinion but ignoring this and moving on is what gets people like us nowhere. We need to speak up and voice our opinions so creeps like this "think" before they open their big mouths.

I know it may not get us far but change takes time. If we shut up now, those jerks get what they want!

stutterbug,

I understand. It gets tiring after a while. It sometimes feels like those people will never understand no matter how hard we try.
