Can you believe it? Had to have been on him for atleast 16 hours or so. Tried to get a doctor appt they blew him off and said he couldn't get an appt for a couple days. The clinic wouldn't treat him. Thank god for a doc in the family. He got doxy for 3 weeks.

If I could do it again, I'd take me and my tick on a road trip all the way up to Connecticut, say i was bit on vacation and get some treatment.

Lpvelabs, I believe it....ignorant doctors. It's said the tick has to be on you for 24 hours before it can transmit Lyme. Maybe true, maybe not. Why take a chance with this very dangerous disease.

Best thing get on Doxy ASAP, good doctor.

my friend lives in CT. Has chronic Lyme. She was misdiagnosed by 3 CT docs and recently got infected again. Her primary gave her 1 dose of doxy. I might want to take the tick to another state! Unless you are seeing a LLMD in CT to diagnose you seems to me you'd be up a creek with no paddles in that state.
