Increasing sodium intake some may raise blood pressure (bp) - be sure to check with your doctor before doing this.

Avoid too much magnesium - it can lower bp.

Avoiding over-hydrating or dehydration (either case can cause low bp).

Be aware also that Lyme is known to cause postural hypotension (low bp when changing position or when standing for long periods of time).

Good luck,

Finding,

I used to take cortef (steroid) for low bp, but did not want to do so long-term. My doctor suggested increasing my salt intake, and that has helped. I also make sure I am staying hydrated. My low bp stems from borderline adrenal insufficiency (adrenal fateague), which was most likely caused by Lyme. I take homeopathic formulas for adrenal support - that may be helping too.

I have Lyme; it doesn't have me.
