There are 2 people whom used to be on this Forum that went to Dr J. in wichita
but they are no longer on this forum. I do know that one person after going to
see him went to Dr. B in Kansas City for some IV meds for his fatigue and brain fog
which were his only symptoms left. Have not heard from him since this summer
his name is (jginkc).
I think he is better and living his life like we all want to.
I should look up his phone number and give him a call to see how he is doing and ask
if he is symptom free.

You can get online at the Hansas Center website and ask questions through emails, or even phone calls.
I have called many times myself. Yes the 2 hour drive is nice, but I wouldnt advise you make that a daily drive
without another driver unless you will be staying in Wichita for your treatment. The phone number I have to look
up is in my old phone bills. Will take me awhile to get that since I share a phone plan with other family members
who get that bill.

There is a version of his protocol available that you can do yourself at home for much less cost than going to the clinic. You purchase the necessary products from the Hansa Center for the protocol. I've heard good things about Dr. J's protocol in that the herxing is minimal due to extensive detoxing involved. The book is excellant too.

I would go to the clinic myself if I could afford it and could travel.

I'm confused. I looked up jginkc's posts from quite a while back (months ago) and I think I read that he had trouble and went to IV antibiotics instead. Could you please hyperlink the Hansa clinic info from him? I would really appreciate it for my friend. Thanks.

I did the same as you and jginkc no longer has any posts that I could find.
That is why I need to look up in old phone bills to find his number to call
him and ask him to come back to the forum because there are people who
need his help.

I will be happy to find this info but please give me til next wk to find it.
Thanks for your patience

any trial info from a lyme sufferer would be much appreciated, esp for me since im a two hour drive from wichita. also if you speak to him find out costs too. thanks

I'm scheduled to start treatment this coming Monday. Will be glad to keep you all posted on my daily experiences there if I'm able to do it.

His website is http://www.hansacenter.com/

It's not cheap. It will cost a minimum of 5 thousand dollars if you go there and if you stay the who two weeks that they recommend it could go as high as ten thousand dollars with all of the treatments, supplements, herbs, etc. You can call the clinic and they will answer every question you have. There's a hotel right next door (walking distance) and they have special rates for the clinic's patients.

I have heard from people who did well on it and one who did not do well on it. It's a big risk for us. We cannot afford to do it, but on the other hand, if I keep going the direction I'm going I don't think I'm going to be around much longer. I'm a rock bottom and I'm hoping and praying that this will be my road to recovery.

For those of you who are praying people, your prayers would be greatly appreciated. For those who aren't, wish me luck.

JunkYard, hope you get some answers and start getting better this year.

Hi Gary,

Just read that you are going to Hansa Center and I will be praying for you.  I know several people who went there (of course I won't mention their names and many are not members of this forum) and only 1 person I know didn't do that great, the rest did wonderful!  Dr. Jernigan is truly a brilliant doctor and in my humble opinion, wiser than any other lyme literate doctor that I have heard of.

Remember, Dr. J. had chronic lyme himself and he thought he was going to die because he was that sick.  So please think positive and you will be amazed by him as well as his staff.

Wishing you the best,
Denise

Denise,

Thank you so much for your post. It's really encouraged me and my wife. I'm not doing very well today. Sadly, I have a sinus infection on top of everything else. My ENT gave me Amoxy and some cortisone nasal spray. I hate taking them but he said my nasals were so very inflamed and needed immediate treatment. I hesitated about starting on it until yesterday when a person who has a medical background came on the other lyme forum and urged me to take the cortisone spray or the consequences could be very bad. After checking around it seemed that most felt that this is what I should do. I hate antibiotics and steroids. Apparently the cortisone spray doesn't get into the blood stream (according to the ENT) so it should be alright.

Anyway, it's been a hard morning for me emotionally, mentally and physically. My wife who is usually pretty positive and upbeat broke down today and is concerned for me too as she sees me deteriorating before her eyes. I've lost 75 pounds in six months and continue to lose 2-5 pounds a week. I hate to see my wife affected by my disease. She's been so strong and supportive for me and I would not have been able to get this far without her help.

Please pray for God's peace and strength upon us. The way I feel today I'm concerned I won't be well enough to drive to Wichita tomorrow. Thank you for giving us some encouragement. Your prayers mean a lot to us. Pray I can make it there tomorrow and that this is the path that God is leading us on to bring healing to my body.

Thank you again for your timely reply. You've blessed us both.

Gary

Hi Gary,

You will make it there and once you are there, I truly believe that you will see results right away.   One guy I know that went there had lost over 100 pounds and he couldn't even eat without the use of a feeding tube prior to his treatment there.  After his 2 week visit, he no longer needed that feeding tube and he put back the weight.

You will be starting a beautiful healing journey..  Just know that as you are driving my thoughts will be with you and your wife..

I am really praying for you and please give my best to your wife as well.

Prayers and positive thoughts,
Denise
