Hi All, I wanted to say my doc suggested the injection b/c the oral meds were killing my gut. Any encouraging words about Bicillian injections please? Thanks.
Very mild left sided (could have fooled me with the "mild")  UC.Just found out 4 years into it I might have Lyme's Disease, going to a LLMD in December. Confirmed Lymes on 12/8/09 before my new antibiotic protocal from my LLMD, I  Started and stopped LDN ON 1/25/09 to mid May no improvements. Tried Asacol, Pentesa, Colozol, Sulfasulsadine and Lialda, they made me worse. A range of antibiotics, not much better. Supplements: Threelac, multi, iron,Allimed Allicin, Apple Cider Vinegar, very low yeast/sugar/wheat  No UC meds at this time.

Am I correct in thinking that Bicillian stays in your system longer and that's why you only take it once a week? I thought I remember reading that somewhere.

I am starting this week.how was it? I am a bit nervous to start. Afraid of the shot, and afraid it won't work. Trying to stay positive.

I was having so many gut issues with Doxy and Cednfir so hopefully this works. Take someone with you who can learn how to give you the shot. Very easy, but i can't reach around to my butt to do it, so I'm going to a nurse practioner in town to have it done. The medication already comes in the tube, creamy white thick medication, so it has to be admistered slowly. Hurts a little, but no pain no gain.

I noticed last night I didn't have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. This is good for me. No improvement yet in my stool or inflammation that I can tell. I felt very nervous, anixous when I woke up this morning. I feel fine now, a little tired. Normal for me. I'm taking Diflucan also because I can't see to knock the vaginal yeast infection.

I don't know too much about Bicillian just that it's a cousin to Rocephin, still in the penicillian family.

Let me know how it goes as well, please post. What are your system mine is Ulcertive Colitis. Terrible, hate it!
Thanks,
Linda

I did bicillin for 14 months. Most improvement I have seen was with this drug,

Remember that improvement takes m onths on the shots, so stay on them for the long haul.

Therearemiracles-
I hope you feel better soon. I am taking a family member with me for the first one and then will have a nurse come out once a week. I hope I feel better from this. I heard it may take awhile. My symptoms are just awful pain all over. Especially heels, shoulder, back, neck, back of head. Lower legs feel heavy and my feet burn but are cool to the touch. Crazy. I have light sensitivity and fatigue as well as some hair loss. All of the crap you know?

Melissa-
thanks for some hope

let u all know how it goes!

Weird, I get heel pain too, like I walked an amusement park all day, but I sit at work all. I work out, but not enough to make my heels hurt. They hurt if I lay on my back in bed. Billicin has been way easier on my gut! I was going to the bathroom in the middle of the night almost 10 times, now I get up to go #1, good feeling. I feel the same. My doc said if I continue with night sweats, which mine our out of control will go with another antibiotics too for that bacteria. Do you know anything about what bacteria that would be? Also, how long do you think before i start noticing a difference with Billicin, you said you heard from somewhere it takes a while. What could be a while?
Thanks and hugs,

Linda

Linda,
I heard the sweats are from babs. Strange you get the heel pain, too. I think that is almost my worst symptom. Went away when I was on mepron/zithro, started back up worse on plaquenil/biaxin. Now on penicillin and pretty much constant. When your feet hurt everything hurts! I tested negative for Bart. A lot of people say the heel pain is a symptom of that but I think it is a symptom of plain old Lyme, too. Who knows.

I heard people being on bicillin shots for over a year. I guess it depends how you do on it.
Hope your feet feel better. I will say healing foot prayers for both of us!

Hi Lovelabs, is your name b/cuz you love lab dogs? If so, I have to chocolate ones. Well I get them every other weekend (divorced) but I love them! Jack and Clark, my boys.

Two years ago I had a Rocephin shot and started Nystantin, within two days of the shot I was completly normal, no inflammation, normal stool. This time, one day two, no improvement. I don't know why it didn't work as well this time. I'm not being discouraged at all, just need more patience. How do you think my doc will zap the babs for the night sweats? Is there injection for this also I wonder. They are terrible sweats! Thanks, Linda

I don't know if there is an injection for babs. I tested negative for it so never got much into a discussion about treatment.nightsweats are the worst. And yes, it is labradors. I have 4 of them. They are my babies(have a couple kids thrown in that mix too) 2 chocolate dogs and 2 blacks. They are English with huge blocks for heads. Gotta love them.
