I am a mess for 3-4 days after my shot. Only doing one shot per week. That is all I am on.
Is it possible to be feeling this bad? Working? Not working? I could cry. I have only had a few good days since starting this 3 weeks ago. Please tell me this is normal. I feel like these are my worst herxes so far. Is this stuff that much more potent than orals?
Thanks for any input.

Hi Lovelabs,

Yesterday was one of my worst days ever. I felt like crying, but couldn't, then I did and then I stopped, then I was happy, then I was crying. Very emotional can you tell? I was tired all day (but two days before just running around crazy), had to take a power nap for a hour and half in the afternoon, then I was functioning fine. I'm finding I'm having more energy but my GI problems haven't changed that I can tell really. I'm taking strong probiotics, are you? I'm taking Difulcan as well. Co-Q10 and a multi. Yesterday was really the strongest herx I think I can recall. I was achy like I had the flu, but a nap did me well. I have my 4th shot tomorrow. Pound down the water, maybe take physillium to pull out the toxins, I do this every day in the morning.

Hang in there. You can email personally if you want to talk lindac@westbranchair.com

Very mild left sided (could have fooled me with the "mild")  UC.Just found out 4 years into it I might have Lyme's Disease, going to a LLMD in December. Confirmed Lymes on 12/8/09 before my new antibiotic protocal from my LLMD, I  Started and stopped LDN ON 1/25/09 to mid May no improvements. Tried Asacol, Pentesa, Colozol, Sulfasulsadine and Lialda, they made me worse. A range of antibiotics, not much better. Supplements: Threelac, multi, iron, very low yeast/sugar/wheat  No UC meds at this time. Started Doxy and Cedfinir too rough on stomach, started Bicillin injection 1/12/10, once a week of injections. Feel much more energy on shot.

Thanks for your reply. I am sorry you had a hard time, too. This stuff is kicking my butt. My heels hurt so bad. Worse than ever before. Do you know if bicillin is really strong? I am hoping that is why it has been bad. Within 4 hours of my shot my ears are ringing and I have all the pain. Flu like pain. I will be getting my 4th shot on Friday. Dreading it. I wish I could say I have had improvement but no such luck. I did better on mepron/zithro than this. Atleast back then my feet didn't hurt. Hoping you feel better soon and this bicillin let's us both turn the corner soon.

Hi Lovelabs,
I'm not bad at all actually, it's my gut is not better really. I was having heel pain mainly thought when I would lay down in bed, on my back they would ache. I never knew this was related to lyme's. You should talk to your doctor about your symptoms. Why did they switch from the other meds to this Bicillin? I switched b/cuz oral meds make me sick with diarreah and I lost a lot of weight. Let me know.

I was switched because I hit a plateau with plaquenil/biaxin. I didn't feel great on that combo the last month I took it. Then a few weeks off and got worse. Thinking bicillin must be stronger than orals? Hoping that is all. And this pain is actually a good thing. My heels hurt when I lie down, too. Hope your stomach feels better soon. You must have the bugs there. I had a lot of trouble with my stomach on orals. It has improved on bicillin but everything else is coming out of hiding.

I am a longtime Lyme/ Babesia etc., sufferer. I tried oral abx for about 6 months, without much improvement, I have been on Dr. Zhangs Chinese/Lyme protocol for about 5 1/2 months, and I believe I am beginning to see some results from that-it took me along time to get to a point where I could handle his full dosage. I herxed really badly for a while. I just started with an additional doctor, who has had a good amount of success with Bicillin Injections. I am getting 1.2ml shots once a week for ten weeks, and I just had my 3rd shot on Tuesday. I handled the 1st two shots pretty well(some die off effect), but I am really herxing pretty badly for the last 2 days after this 3rd shot. They told me I would start to feel better after the 5th or 6th shot. I have Neuro Lyme which has compromised my CNS-so when I herx or get flare ups-it is pretty brutal-I take Librium(even though I don't want to) to calm my nerves, and my shaking. I think that this Bicillin could be helpful, along with my Chinese Herbs to getting me into a remission stage. I am wondering if anyone has had a similar Bicillin experience. Any thought or opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

rjb
