Is it the hansa clinic that does the berbal treatment?By the guy who wrote that weird book? I have heard some good things about the place. And RawVegan...are you still on?
If so....what is your update now? It has been almost a year no?
For the record I went to enivta. They do vit and supp. and a diff. deal.
But my treatment costs a arm and a leg. But I know people who went to hansa and they were healed. So, I am just putting it out there as yet another controveral, and alternative treatment to lyme and co infections.
Who else did that clinic out there? I am forgettting all of them...there were a bunch on here that loved what it did for them.

I tired to read his bood while I was sick, but it just did not make sense to me. I was more interested in reading the cure unknown at that time.
yet....I don't recc. this book for people who are really sick. It has a horrible ending...hench the name...."Cure Unknown'
She is no optimist.
It made me really sad and feel helpless...for about a week, then I got pissed off again and fought.

Our family all got lyme in 2004. It has been a long battle. But all is well now with my children. Feb 8 TH of 2009 is when I left Envita. And I am celebrating a year of perfect health.

Which book are you talking about? Dr. J has written several books, but the book "Beating Lyme Disease" is an excellent book. You can read about it here http://www.hansacenter.com/beating_lyme_disease.php .

Just for the record, Hansa Center is not a "herbal clinic". It's much more sophisticated than that. Buhner, Zhang, Cowden, those are herbal protocols. Hansa Center consists of a variety of treatments, not just herbs. It's important that this distinction is made so that people are not led to believe that the Hansa Center is a herbal protocol--it is much more than that.

From Hansa Center website http://hansacenter.com/treatments.php

We utilize the most advanced understanding of biophysics and not only use the latest in scientific advances, but we also train other doctors to do the same. It is not the tools that make a doctor unique; it is his/her perspective of what must occur in order for health to be restored. If you are sick, we are here to help. If you are well, we can still help you reach and maintain your optimum health.

Whether we use botanical or nutritional supplements, essential oils, a cold laser, NeuroPhotonic therapy, Magnetic Resonance therapy, gentle chiropractic adjustment, or detoxification therapies, all work to restore the integrity of the body's crystalline matrix, which will enable the body to get back to the business of maintaining health instead of fighting disease.

I tried to read one of his books and it was way over my head. But I am happy that it is making people better. And people need to know that they have options out there.

Butti,
You need to e-mail me directly. Enivta and Lone life do not take medicare for alternative treatment of lyme disease. That is against the law.
You are new at the clinic.. It is not true what you posted.
They are trying so hard to help people get well and are great people and Dr.s
The Envita protical is alternative treatment to medicine and it is not covered by medicare.
Write to me and we will talk about it directly.
And Yes I read the cure unknown. It is a fantastic book. And the print? I don't know what your talking about.

Martha,

I just wanted to chime in and let you know that Medicare does cover some things. They cover things like bloodwork, IV antibiotics, etc.

What bucci was talking about in regards to "larger print" is that it is extremely hard for some people who have Lyme to read the standard print. Their eyes are sonetimes affected, especially if it is neurological. I have a very good friend with Lyme that cannot read Cure Unknown because of her eyes. I agree with bucci that these books need to be printed in larger print.

My insurance did not cover any of my treatment at Envita. And they told me that going in and up front.
I spoke to them about this on the phone and they told me the same thing again.

Martha,

I'm just curious because I've never heard this before but why would it be against the law for medicare to cover Lyme treatment? Also, you said when you went in to get treated, that the nurse told you that your insurance would cover some things for you or did I misread? Didn't you say that your insurance dropped you after they had paid for some of your treatment?

This is the post that I am referring to:

You posted:

When I called Envita back in 08 they told me that they did not take
insurance. I did not ask my Blue Cross to cover anything. I had to get my x to give them his credit card. He did this not because he is madly in
love with me...lol, but because we have a little girl who was losing her mother.

When the Dr. suggested that I get a port at a hospital I had to go. At the hospital they asked me if I had insurance. I said yes...but
that I was getting my port for alterantive treatment, and that I should
pay for it myself, she said not to be silly.

So my Blue Crosss paid for most of it. My port as a out patient.
I finished my treatment in Feb. 09, my Blue Cross dropped me in March. And they dropped my daughter. Lilly who was then 5. I had been with them for 6 years with her.

They did not give me a reason for this.

So, heads up.

I am now healthy as a horse and looking for new insurance covergae with a new company.

Blue Cross has sued some Dr.s and put them out of business for treating cronic lyme patients.

I got dumped.

Martha,

By the way, I am not trying to out you in any way. I would just like to get things cleared up so that anyone that is interested in going to this clinic knows what to expect.

Hi all,

Long time since I posted as I have been really busy!  Anyway, I am confused about Envita and maybe someone could help me understand.

The part I am confused about is if Envita claims to use "alternative medicine" then why do they also use conventional antibiotics?   I thought alternative medicine consisted of NOT using conventional antibiotics?   I'm not questioning this to put down Envita, just to understand how their treatment protocol works in case someone asks me about Envita.

Can someone explain this to me?

Thanks!
Denise

Thank you.

Yep, sure is. I reported the post but others could too if they wanted. I'm sure the moderators monitor the forum on a volunteer basis and can't monitor it 24/7, but hopefully they will come around soon and remove that post as I don't think those comments are appropriate at all.

It has been taken care of.

I was out for the day and I am sure Cajun is not feeling well today or she would have taken care of this.

I appreciate your concern.

Marie-

Please refer to Rule #4

4. No posts that attack, insult, "flame", defame, or abuse members or non-members. Respect other members of the community and don’t belittle, make fun off, or insult another member or non-member. Decisions about health and well-being are highly personal, individual choices. "Flaming" and insults, however, will not be tolerated. Agree to disagree. This applies to both the forums and chat
.

If your behavior continues, I will have no other choice but to ask that you be banned from HW.

What you have written about another member is neither kind or supportive, and that is what this forum is all about.  Showing kindness and support to other members that are struggling just like us.

Also what you have written about Dr.'s and naming them is also not allowed and falls under the above rule.  If you wish to speak about a specific Dr. that way, please feel free to send a PM to the individual that is asking about them.
