I had my IV removed in the middle of August after a blood clot that put me in the hospital for a few days. This was round 2 for rocepherine and I would not let them put another line back in. Since that time, I still have pain in my arm where the IV was. It's not constant, but I notice it several times a day. No more blood clots, just pain not the worst in the world, but enough that you notice it. My primary thinks the IV messed up one of my viens. Anyone else have this?

I never had a blood clot but when I got my IV out, had one in my chest first in March of 08 and that one still bothers me.
It used to hurt but now it just itches.
Did you flush the line before and after your rocephine treatment? And were you givin heparin (blood thinner) to help move
the med through the veins? Those things are very important.

Could be scar tissue in or near the vein puncture location...if it is, then gentle massage of the painful area may help...but check with your doctor first...
