which is awesome but now I have no clue what is swelling in that area. I'm so glad it's not my liver though because I was worried about that. The swelling has actually stopped so now I'm really confused as to what it could have been, lol. It seemed to happen mostly after I ate so I was thinking that it may have been my gallbladder. I guess it could still be my gallbladder and not show up swollen on the ultra sound.

Any suggestions?

Hi CG: That is great news that all  is normal. I have the same swelling as you know, that is why I was interested in knowing the results. You dont think it could be your intestines? Your digestion could be slower that normal and food may get "caught" temporarily in that area. I am thinking that is what my swelling is, as it comes and goes not unlike yours. Good news.  D

Hey Dowa,

My husband said the same thing about it being my intestines but I figured it would hurt a little worse...maybe not. I have no clue whats going on.

CONGRATS, CG !!!
Glad to hear something is normal!!! giggle!!!!
So, your swelling is in the front? As you may remember, I recently (a few months back now) had to have my gall bladder removed. I had a REALLY bad 'attack' & couldn't move from where I was sitting at the time for hours - which got complicated quickly, as I needed to p!!! Come to find out, once I could move to get to a doc, my gall bladder was diseased & had stones. The pain was definitely on my left side, about the same level of my belly button, maybe a little lower.

I have also had to have my appendix removed, another pain I will not forget too soon, and the pain was similar, but more centered in my abdomin.

I also have the wonderful privilege of having intestinal issues & am on a med. to help control intestinal cramping, so I am pretty familar with what Dowa is talking about.

Isn't it fun??? ((roll eyes))
It's been said:LD patients can be as ill as people w/ congest. heart failure & in as much pain as post-op patients.

Welcome to the Lyme sideshow...symptoms but nothing showing up on a test to PROVE it to the stupid docs...

Have you had a gallbladder function test? This may reveal sludge buildup (can't be seen on the ultrasound) that could be causing problems.

Could also be intestinal...make sure things are moving along daily...if not, try eating some flaxseed meal with at least one meal/day, and drink plenty of water...
