I cannot believe how good I feel being off antibiotics. After the first week I still had some pain, slight brain fog.
But wondering if the Mepron and Zithromax was doing more harm than the bacteria. Honestly feel much better
and have energy but I have to be careful I dont use it up to fast. Made that mistake last weekend. Today has
been 2 wks off abx and hope I keep getting better. So hang in there everyone it will get better.

HI Harleyrider!!
So glad to hear you are doing well!!! Being careful not to over-do is one of my biggest obstacles as well. Hope it continues for you!!!

It's been said:LD patients can be as ill as people w/ congest. heart failure & in as much pain as post-op patients.

Thanks Traveler yeah the over doing it is my biggest downfall. But I had fun out spending
my tax return...or should I say my hubbys tax return seeing I havent worked in over 2yrs.

Hunter I'm not sure how long I had lyme but fought doc after doc for 4yrs trying to figure
out what was wrong with me after I was givin a high dose of steroids for what the dermotologist
thought was some sort of allergy on my hands. That kicked the lyme into high gear, somewhat
was still functional but slowly was having symptom after symptom and they kept coming until that
Endo doc figured out what I had with and was CDC positive for lyme. Have been treating with
IV and oral both off and on for 2yrs now. Hopefully from here on out the integrity of my own body
will take over the healing process along with detoxing and I should be on my way to living like I
never had lyme. Getting the slowly but since I have been off Mepron for babesia and Zithro for
lyme I have felt extremely better. I feel that the Zithro was making me have more symptoms. My
antibiotic of choice will always be IV Rocephine. It was the one that got me out of the hell of living
with lyme and my mind back and pain free body so I could concentrate on getting better.

Harley, thanks for the positive thoughts. it really helps those of us battling get through. I am awaiting IV approval. How long does it take at one sitting to do the IV? My story is similar to yours, took me 4 years and loads of my own research and finally a caring endo to find that the original test run by primary 4 years earlier showed 3 specific bands but I was told nothing. I am now my own advocate and believe nothing and research everything. Best wishes.

If your meds come in a pressurized ball it will take about 30 to 45 min from start to finish. Starting out
you will make sure you have everything you need to get started like alcohol swabs, and the flush and then
the meds. Takes no time at all once you get started. The meds are kept in the fridge and you will need to
get it out about 30 min to an hour before starting. I would put mine between my legs to warm it up even
more...LOL! If its to cold you will feel it running thru your veins, weird feeling. Just more comfortable when
its sits at room temp.

Feel free to ask me anything, I am here for everyone.
