I saw my LLMD for a check up this week. He was very pleased with my progress and wants me to continue with what I have been doing.

He uses herbs in addition to abx to treat. His two main ones right now are Carnivora and teasel root tincture. He says he's always learning more about lyme and these are the two that have helped his patients.

I've been on Carnivora since last September and teasel since this past January.

Just wanted to pass this on.

What antibiotics are you on and how much of the Carnivora and teasel root tincture are you taking?

My LLMD just switched my abx from amoxicillin and zithromax to ceftin. I have been feeling very sick for the past month and he is recommending IV-Rocephin if I don't see any immediate improvement with the ceftin. How are you doing with your treatment?

Thanks for the info on the herbs! I assume that I could find these up at my local natural market.

I am no longer on abx. I am taking the Jernigan Protocol products, Carnivora (4 caps/day) and teasel root powder (I don't have the tincture.) I am doing pretty well on this regimen. I do have some occasional tenderness in the joints of my hands.

I was diagnosed last September and went on oral ceftin for six months. Also did a total of 12 IV rocephin treatments. They really helped. Oh, and LLMD had me on nine Carnivora caps/day for four months, cutting down to six, then four. Carnivora can be gotten online, same with teasel root tincture. I don't think you will find either at a health food store.

LLMD will restart abx if symptoms return or worsen.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info.... I know that many have improved using the Jernigan Protocol. It scares me when I hear about people that are still not cured after six months to a year on antibiotics. I will definitely consider it as an alternative. Good luck with your treatment!
