Hello there,

I too was a Lymes patient of Dr. F's,  in Chester County, PA and need to find another Lymes literate doctor. A few months ago I dropped my old family gp because he didn't know squat about Lymes and co-infections and used Dr. F as my family doc also.

Does anyone know of a good family doctor in the area that is also Lyme Literate? I'm stuck and need all my meds refilled NOW and don't have a clue who to go to.

Thanks for reading :)

It's rare to find a family doctor who's lyme literate. Most GP's no squat about Lyme disease. Why not just go to another LLMD and get treated correctly?

Morning,

I would go to a Lymes doctor if I knew one around here , but I also have to find a new family doctor since I switched to him for everything. Do you know any good Lymes doctors around here?
Thanks for the reply. :)

Happening all over. ID docs reporting LLMD for "over prescribing" abx. They are getting very aggressive and trying to run LLMD's out of business everywhere they can. They just did in to a LLMD in Denton, TX. He got called before the medical board because a husband of a wife who the doctor treated thought it was wrong to rx so many abx to his wife. The medical board ruled against him, so instead of fighting it he said the bleep with it and decided to retire.

We had to pay 15 dollars to get our files back from him last week. He's closing down for good the end of July, I believe, and not seeing any patients anymore. Sad deal but more and more it's happening all over the place and will continue to until people like us stand up and fight back. Need lots of $$$$ do do that. Sad and disgusting.

I live in Chester County. My family doctor referred me to a llmd in New Jersey. It's a long haul when you are not feeling well, but worth it. I am almost all better now. I would e-mail you, but your e-mail is not available... and I can't figure out how to get mine to be available!

There is a Tickborne Disease Center in Chadds Ford. I believe that is in Chester County.

achievinggrace,

Not sure if your post is directed to me or someone else. All you need to do is click the email icon button to send someone an email. If the icon is active you'll know because it's kind of a bluish and yellow color. When it's black and white that means it isn't activated. If their email icon is not in color, you won't be able to send them an email.

You can activate your email icon by clicking your name. After you do that, you'll notice on the left top area it says "My Profile". Click that then you'll see different options you have to edit profile or edit options, etc. You click the "edit profile" button then you type your email in, then right below that you click where it says, "show my email address" or "hide my email address". You have to click "show my email address". It will not show up on the thread, it will only show up when people go to read your profile. Some people don't want their email address available for privacy reasons, others don't worry about it because they want to be able to talk to members off forum on occasion. Plus, that's the only way anyone can send you an LLMD referral too since we cannot post it out in the open.

Anyway, that's how you do it. Hope this helps.

Gary
