Jackie, your symptoms added to a positive IgM seem to indicate lyme. What did your Dr say about these results? Why does he believe that IgG must show?
I read that a positive IgM generally becomes IgG after a couple of months. Maybe not so in everyone -- maybe your infection is still that active. Who did your test and interpreted it as positive?
We cannot diagnose lyme, but you've got plenty enough to pursue. A good Lyme literate Dr would be in order -- if you are infected w/ Lyme and this infection is that new, you have excellent chances of being cured, and quicker than the rest of us. Can you find an LLMD? Can your Dr refer you to anyone?
