OK so I go last night and get the dry brush cause I was doing the epsom salt/peroxide baths without one.  Been drinking lemon water for days, eating healthy and today with my headache still here, my joints are aching once again.  This is so not fun.  I think my headache may very well be from trying to figure this thing out.

I feel worse - drained, exhausted - after epsom salt foot soaks. I guess it is because the toxins are moving around, but I don't know for sure. I also feel exhausted after exercise, but am walking a couple blocks every evening anyway...I have such horrible water retention I have to do something to get it under control...

When I first started detoxing, I would get a horrible migraine - every time!!! It was pretty discouraging, but I went to doing only a ten minute soak & built myself up from there. Even now, as I start a new tx, I am pretty drained on the days I do my detox baths.
Hang in there!!!

Hi all,

springsjean, yes, it's normal to feel worse after doing detox baths.  You should go slow and make sure the bath water is warm not hot (Dr. J. says to put a thermometer in the water and it should be about 98 degrees).   Some people start with only 10 minutes and slowly build up to staying in the baths longer.  Also, drink the lemon water as you are in the tub.  After a while, you will start feeling so much better!

When I started the baths, I was taking Dr. J's CNS/PNS Neuro-Antitox which binds up the toxins so I didn't feel any bad effects from the baths, I believe it was due to my taking that product.

Hope you feel better,
Denise

Yes, it is very normal as everyone else has stated. I still feel bad sometimes if I wait too long to do another detox.

Denise- I have a question for you. Can I still detox in plain hot water with nothing in it? Everytime I take a hot bath, I get out feeling really weak and yucky.

Hi CG,

I think it's the hot water that can make you feel weak and yucky.  From what I read from Dr. J's book, the water should be warm.   The salts and hp should make you feel better..

Hot water is good for the foot baths, not the full detox baths..   Yeah, I prefer hot baths myself but I had to build up to making the bath water warmer..

Hope that helps,
Denise
