I tried it, but I didn't take it long enough to tell if it was doing me any good. It caused me to have abdominal cramping. I take Transfer Factor Multi-Immune and Prescript-Assist Pro from Researched Nutritionals.

Can I ask what time of day did you take it? AND DID YOU TAKE IT ON AN EMPTY Stomach? Thanks

We are in the age of "immunity"... having gone through the vitamins, minerals, herbs, and antioxidants we are now at the point of realization that a healthy immune system is necessary for better health. The challenge in the marketplace is that there are a lot of companies that are jumping on the bandwagon and they are there to make money, not necessarily to really help people. I am very supportive of Transfer Factor as an immune booster and to help support the body, but I also like to know what I am taking and to what extent it is helping. Noni juice can improve immune function... by 18-22 percent, and there are mushrooms and herbs that can improve immune function by 50-60% or more. But the only company I know that has research data that spells this out is 4Life Research company who also happen to be a initiator of this revolution and has products that have been tested to improve immunity by 437%. Now, which would you take? Until these other "come-lately" companies spell out exactly the effectiveness of their products, I would rather go to the source. But that is just my opinion.

I can't recall what time of day I took it. It might have been in the afternoon. It was definitely on an empty stomach, like the instructions say. The cramping didn't happen right away. It took a few days to start causing me problems. I stopped taking it for a few weeks, and tried it again, but the same thing happened. It may have been because of the lactose content, but the other supplements have lactose as well.

Is there any particular reason that you are nervous? As far as I can remember, there wasn't anything in this formula that would be likely to cause a problem, unless you are allergic to one of the ingredients. It's more likely to be just a waste of money than to be something harmful.

Yes, I used that same product for about 1 year. If I remember right it was $72 a bottle. I didn't notice any help from it one way or another and it did not give me cramps and I took it in the morning on an empty stomach.

I stopped it because it's a bovine based product and there was no way to find out if the cows used were given any hormones or antibiotics. This plays a huge role in why people are getting so many infections than we did 30+ years ago. Read "The Six Modern Plagues and How We've Caused Them". It's a huge eye opener.

Treating Lyme is very expensive. I try to use only the products that I can notice any help from. I believe, like the others, that there are better less expensive supplements to get that probably don't have potential adverse affects.

best of luck and health,
Lisa

Thank you Lisa, Thats what I am afraid of taking it. I don't need to take something that could cause another illness down the road. Thanks for your input...

Transfer factor has been around a long time. It is not just used for lyme but for lots of other conditions...adrenal fatigue is one that kind of comes along with everything. also colostrum is something that always made me feel better. Like it took the rawness off the edge of my nerves and I felt more fortified or stronger or WELL. but like Lupner said..it animal based.
Once in a blue moon like when I go to San Fran I go to the health food store and they have colostrum fresh in bottle to drink . but otherwise you see it in some of these pill formulas. anyway Transfer Factor nothing to be afraid of and worth a try in my opinion.

I see a lot of doctors now are making their own label with the formulas they feel work best and some are using a lot of what is in the transfer factor and even adding to it ..that is what my doctor did. I think it called Immune Boost or Immune Power. He has lyme himself.
Yes mushrooms and herbs do great things too but you have to be very careful with them too ...especially for liver. Also if you are doing herbs and mushrooms and have parasites there can be big die off reaction.

I think a stool test is more important than all this blood work sometimes. I have a freind that I swore was a big candida case and she turned out low candida and pancreatic gallbladder insuffiency.

I wouldn't comment on Transfer Factor if I had not ever taken it but I have..... so I can speak on my experience of it. I think I first tried it 10 yrs ago. I felt it at first and then may have gotten used to it. the thing I noticed about stuff like this is I am so weak when I start taking it that I FEEL it at first and then I get used to it and it is not that it isn't working any more it is more that I need all th help I can get but this bacteria is going to plow over it too. Aso the thing about how stuff hits my gut changed drastically when I got rid of some of the parasites. I think everyone is missing out on the parasite thing. These ticks carry parasites. hook worm and strongyloides and who knows what else..diaomebia fragialis. Point is nothing can help with this bacteria AND the parasites. The parasites are lot easier to get rid of than the bacteria so why everyone doesn't start with the right stool test I don't know. But it was critical in my healing. and i am NOT done by a long shot but I was having gallbladder pancreas attacks every day and feeling like having heart attack with chest pains before I got rid of the parasites.

if we could get rid of all this stuff I think our own immune systems could build back up by eating good food and also eliminating the parasitic relations we have in our life at jobs or relationships even. but if you are bogged down with the parasites you gotta get to them.

Hey Lupner..it look like we have lot of same stuff. what did they give you for the parasites? Also do you think the antibiotics helped ?

Also the Transfer Immune that you took in 08 was that transfer factor?

Also I think the biofeedback thing is crucial to our healing because this a brain repair situation and that is why so much deep depression and fog is going on for us. i did it once in Seattle and got the same effect I did after sitting 6 days of silent meditation at the zen center.

I am trying what ever I can to strengthen my brain. I feel it is where it all falls apart for me.

The thing about the bovine based or porcine based products is for the people in our condition, glandulars is needed for a while. like armor thyroid is bovine based. Usually the adrenal boosters are even porcine (pig) based.

I definitely understand what LupnerRN is saying. For me I am just so sick of taking all these supplements . Also for me they work for a while and then they do nothing
hep c , lyme
Dad has lyme

Good point. My LLND says he's read reports that some of the testing shows that lyme has been discovered in some batches of TF. Another good reason to consider avoiding it. Although, if you're going to take it, the goat's milk TF might be safer, but even those tests have revealed lyme in some of the batches that were tested. Seems you just can't be too careful with this stinkin disease, eh?

I tried it after a doc recommended it. I used it for about two months and didn't notice any change. Since it was so expensive I decided to stop taking it. She said it was supposed to help with CD57 numbers, energy and possibly adrenal function (I think). Hope it works better for you.

Blessings,
Leah

Hmmm, the best way to build up one's immune system is by detoxing (detox baths, foot baths, dry skin brushing, infrared sauna, etc.) not to mention a healthy diet and exercising if one can.

Bucci - Where in San Francisco do you buy colostrum fresh in bottle to drink ? I work in San Francisco. I've been a vegetarian for many years, but if this would help, I think I would try it.
