Hi Gary,

For a long time I have been trying to find out the ingredients in most antibiotics, not easy to find..

You wrote in  a different thread:

"Not completely related to the topic, but speaking of poisons, this is something a friend of mine who has a pharmaceutical background sent me. "If people knew the poisons they were taking in the pharmaceutical realm they would really be up in arms. The average American consumes 12 different prescriptions. Coumadin for thinning the blood is nothing but rat poison that you can buy from Ace Hardware. Premarin is derived from Horse urine and has likely led to the death of many thousands of women through increasing cancer. Blood pressure meds are often from snake venom". "

Do you have any links that could tell me what the ingredients are?

Thanks!
Denise

Actually, anyone can respond to this.

All I can find is is this link:

http://www.answers.com/topic/antibiotic

If one scrolls down to Raw Materials, it's very interesting!

Raw Materials

The compounds that make the fermentation broth are the primary raw materials required for antibiotic production. This broth is an aqueous solution made up of all of the ingredients necessary for the proliferation of the microorganisms. Typically, it contains a carbon source like molasses, or soy meal, both of which are made up of lactose and glucose sugars. These materials are needed as a food source for the organisms. Nitrogen is another necessary compound in the metabolic cycles of the organisms. For this reason, an ammonia salt is typically used. Additionally, trace elements needed for the proper growth of the antibiotic-producing organisms are included. These are components such as phosphorus, sulfur, magnesium, zinc, iron, and copper introduced through water soluble salts. To prevent foaming during fermentation, anti-foaming agents such as lard oil, octadecanol, and silicones are used.

Hi Denise,

I came across this youtube link where Dr. Thomas Rau, MD, who has training in Biological Medicine, states that Rocephin has thermisol in it...the mercury containing ingredient that was banned just recently from various vaccines (only it is still in them) and consider that a vaccine is a one time dose taken spaced out...Rocephin is taken in huge quantities. Mercury is 1000x more toxic than lead and is one of the primary neurotoxins found in Lyme patients upon Heavy Metal testing...obviously not every Lyme patient has taken Rocephin, but who would want to take mercury daily? www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYZ5FiQ_g18

As you said, finding the ingredients to each antibiotic is difficult, not only that, it would be a very time consuming project no doubt. I did find some interesting links that I think you will find informative. The first one, I know nothing about this MD, but what he says about abx is pretty right on. Other things he says regarding alternatives, some I don't really know about, others I'm not too favorable about, but a lot of what he recommends is right on. One of the things he recommends, that I am leery of, is Colloidal Silver. Never been too keen on that one, but others swear by it. Anyway, check these links out and see if you find them helpful.

This link below has some VERY interesting information regarding the dangers of abx and the high number of people who end up in the ER due to abx.

Denise, I know this doesn't exactly answer your question about the ingredients in abx, but since you like to research, I thought you'd find a lot of this information on abx interesting. I sure did!

*Disclaimer* For those of you who are on abx, I don't want to leave you with the impression that I am anti-antibotics. I know some of you are getting better taking abx, so it isn't my intent to discredit abx at all. Basically, I'm responding to Denise's question to me, but I think many of you will find this information interesting, whether you take abx or not. There's a lot of good information here and I know we are all here to learn as much as we can about this disease and the various treatment protocols that are out there. Hopefully, some of you will find this information useful.

Wow Gary, thanks!

You actually have answered my questions and I'm still reading and listening to Dr. Rau as he has 4 different video's and I still have not finished listening to all of them yet..   I believe Dr. Jernigan studied at his clinic in Switzerland called the Paracelsus Klinik so they must know each other.

Dr. Rau sounds fascinating as well as his theories and understanding of disease.

I'm still absorbing all this information, really interesting!

Thanks again!

Denise,

Yes, Dr. Jernigan did train with Dr. Rau in Biological Medicine. You sure know a lot about Dr. Jernigan. It's amazing the knowledge you have about him.

Glad you are finding the videos helpful. If there's anything worth sharing from listening to the tapes post a few tidbits here so others can get the benefit of what he says if you have a chance.

I could not seem to open the link. If there are not too many, could someone list the ones to avoid. Thanks!

Dowa,

According to the Mercola site, and other sites that have done studies on abx, the fluoroquinolone antibiotics, of which Cipro is one, are the ones best to avoid.

Here's a quote from the article: --The Awful Truth about Fluoride Containing or Fluoroquinolone Antibiotics--

"Most likely a great deal of the toxicity of these drugs is that they contain the highly toxic poison, fluoride.

Drugs with an attached fluoride can penetrate into very sensitive tissues that used to be impenetrable. The fluoroquinolones have the unique ability to penetrate your central nervous system, including your brain.

According to Bob Patton, a private citizen in England fighting to get the truth out about these antibiotics, about half of the fluoroquinolone antibiotics that were once on the market have been removed from clinical practice due to their horrific side effects.

Omniflox, Raxar, Trovan, Zagam, and Tequin have all been banned.

However, Cipro, Levaquin, Avelox, and Floxin continue to be prescribed for a variety of infections, both major and minor. Cipro and Levaquin are by far the favorites".

Levaquin is the abx that's been in the news lately for damaging tendons. The list of warnings and precautions on this poison is horrifying. See the precautions from this website www.rxlist.com/levaquin-drug.htm#

Sorry you can't open the Mercola site. Someone else told me the same thing, but I don't have any problem opening it. Strange.

It appears that the link works fine, it's just that you MUST join, or already be a member before you are allowed to read any articles.

I still have not had time to listen to all the video's yet (each one is about 20 minutes long) but I will make time because this is fascinating to me..    I'm really multi-tasking like crazy and I'm taking a break right now..

The mercury by itself is amazing.. And what about the foods people eat, chickens, cows, etc.  are all fed antibiotics so no wonder most people are resistant to antibiotics...   It's a different world today, it really is compared to when I was growing up..   But then again, every time I had swollen glands or an ear infection the doctor gave me pencillin like it was candy and by the time I was 19 I became allergic to pencillin, duh!

And why are the pharma companies so secretive about the ingredients in the antibiotics they produce?  Because we will find things out that will shock us?   Hey, enquiring minds want to know, LOL!

I remember many years ago a dentist prescribed Cipro for me so I wouldn't get any infections, well guess what?  For the first (and so far only time in my life) I got the worst yeast infection!   I could not pee unless I went into the shower and went there!  (Hey, we talked about poop so I guess we can talk about peeing!)  idea smhair idea

I went to my gyno and she scared me by telling me it looked like herpes to her which freaked me out but then the test results came back and I didn't have herpes (yeah, I was pissed at that doctor, no pun intended)...  Monostat cured that problem..

Will update with what I learn from Dr. Rau..   I am still getting use to his accent..

That's too bad. I remember I would read articles on his site and didn't have to be a member. Guess that's changed now. I do subscribe to his weekly newsletter just because it's so chock full of good information. However, I did that before they changed over to this new system where you have to subscribe to read the articles. I hate it when a company forces you to do that, even a good website like Mercola. Oh well, guess they gotta figure out how to get people hooked in so they can sell them their products. Never tried his products, but do love reading his articles and have learned so much since reading them.

Ha ha Gary.. not to worry, I won't use the "v" word..  I think we covered enough orifices!  cool   I started a new topic about Dr. Rau but I still have a ways to go..

Oh, I also subscribe to receive Mercola's newsletters for years, never bought anything from him but his articles are very interesting indeed.

Ground ginger root , about 4 grams a day has really made a big difference for my nausea. But if you are concerned about talking ginger root, there are these bands that have a small hard plastic piece in them that help some -for me at least - they go by the name of "Sea Bands". I have seen them in Walmart & our local pharmacy for sale.
BTW - I am not in any form receiving any compensation from this company.
