I just received this from my on line Lyme support group about the product known as "Miracle Mineral Solution";

"FDA warned consumers not to consume or use Miracle Mineral Solution, an oral liquid solution also known as "Miracle Mineral Supplement" or "MMS." The product, when used as directed, produces an industrial bleach that can cause serious harm to health. The product instructs consumers to mix the 28 percent sodium chlorite solution with an acid such as citrus juice. This mixture produces chlorine dioxide, a potent bleach used for stripping textiles and industrial water treatment. High oral doses of this bleach, such as those recommended in the labeling, can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and symptoms of severe dehydration."

Traveler, thanks for posting that. I think my mom takes it. I sent her a copy of your post.

If your Mom uses this product, I hope she is okay!

Thanks. With my LB, who knows what it is she takes. I only know it's three initials and the first one is an M. It's not something you can just buy in a regular vitamin store. My cousin is taking whatever it is for cancer and she's the one who told my mother about it.

If I remember correctly, there is a dr. that is using it for his Lyme patients.  He is not an MD, he is a CD and I think I ran into this product on youtube.  I have seen a video of him talking about this product.  I have never used it myself.
