I'm getting the very first treatment of abx.  Retesting will be done again.  If neg, does it mean I'm in the clear?  Or do I need to be on the watch for symptoms?
Also, I heard that if the test is still positive, perhaps it never was Lyme because abx. would have killed it.
So much to learn! eyes

Hi HH!!
At this point in time, with the exception of maybe 1 rather new test, all other LD & other tick-borne infection testing is very flawed!!! Is the re-testing being done because your LLMD is wanting it?

Tick-borne infections are supposed to be diagnosed clinically, which means by your symptoms, not by blood testing - which is incredibly flawed. There's a new paper out that states the ELISA screening only shows positive for about 1/2 of a group that had been able to confirm a positive LD infection by other means.

In other words - just because you have a negative blood test result, it does not mean that you don't have a tick-borne infection. Although if you have the symptoms and test positive then of course you have the infections and need appropriate treatment.

I hope this clears things up a bit, HH.

I break up my post because my eyes have been effected by TBI's as well, which makes long paragraphs very hard to read.

Yes, here's a question? When I got blood work in 2003 two I see #66 and 41 were present. Would this possibly mean that I had it? Report indicates that it has to be Western Blot positive. It says Lyme AgG WB= neg.

Then the other section says P41 present Lyme IgM WB Neg.

But I am positive now with two tests by two offices.

Oh, one more thing. Does IgM mean I have had it awhile? I get the IgA and IgM mixed up.
