At this point in time, with the exception of maybe 1 rather new test, all other LD & other tick-borne infection testing is very flawed!!! Is the re-testing being done because your LLMD is wanting it?
Tick-borne infections are supposed to be diagnosed clinically, which means by your symptoms, not by blood testing - which is incredibly flawed. There's a new paper out that states the ELISA screening only shows positive for about 1/2 of a group that had been able to confirm a positive LD infection by other means.
In other words - just because you have a negative blood test result, it does not mean that you don't have a tick-borne infection. Although if you have the symptoms and test positive then of course you have the infections and need appropriate treatment.
