Loouceball is looking for a Lyme Literate Doctor in Mid-Tennessee. She was bitten by a tick around Labor Day, presented with a bulls eye rash a week later. She has been treated twice but still is having symptoms so is looking for a Lyme Literate Doctor.

Louceebell,
So sorry, I went into your post to just change the subject line to include TN and the whole thing just disappeared. No good deed goes unpunished!

I tried to reconstruct your post, please add anything and everything that I missed.

I am sure you will get some response from our membership. In the meantime,

For information on finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, please email our long time member, Dan's Mother at:
phassan@optonline.net
If you'd like more doctor suggestions, you can email stephanie at: stephanie@turnthecorner.org You can also go to: www.turnthecorner.org/bod.htm if you want to learn a little bit more about Lyme Disease.

You can also go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link: www.lymediseaseassociation.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=277&Itemid=74

You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) doctor. The ILADS site is a great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey.

Have a look at our "New to Lyme?" thread at the top of the forum. It has a lot of info and resources.

Take care

Louceebell,
I have an excellent LLMD in the greater Memphis area. I'm not sure if this is too far for you, but I think he does phone consults as well.
I didn't see any contact info for you, so not sure how to communicate his name and address, etc.

Traveler has my email address and I don't mind you contacting me that way if you choose.

Best wishes for your recovery,

Lupusorlyme
