I learned about this product Boluoke at the ILADS conference and will start to incorporate it into my practice. I heard many LLMD's are now suggesting this product.

Was just curious if anyone is using it and what were your results?

thanks

Jen

Just to add, also a product called ATP Fuel is now being used often to treat lyme with amazing results.
Again, anyone using it or heard of it?

Thanks for the input

Peacesoul,

I have just added Boluoke to my treatment.  I am very encouraged to see that it is being added by LLMD's!  Not only is my LLMD using it as part of his protocol, but my ND is as well.  The later did caution me that it has made many of his patients flare.

Springsjean,

I am also encouraged to hear that you have had good results and have seen improvement since adding this to your treatment.  I would like to ask you how much you take - and if you had to ramp up the dose as you went along.  I started at 1/day and that was too much for me to handle. (it caused quite a flare) so after playing around with the dosage, I had to take a break and have just restarted it.  My LLMD wants me to start out taking one each week and gradually increase as I am able.  Anyway, I am excited to see it mentioned here and I hope that it will be a help  to me and others as well as it has been for you.

Thank you for any input.

Hello, I take Bolouke everyday (one). My ND recommends it, she wants me to take 2/day. I am trying to work my way to that b/c it initially gave me a die-off, probably from the biofilm.

I took about a year of Interfase Plus prior to this. Not sure if it's helping or not b/c I don't feel bad or have the typical lyme symptoms, just chronic UTIs. Unfortunately, my UTIs haven't stopped yet.

but I wonder if maybe the bolouke is breaking up the biofilms and that may explain more UTIs? But I suspect it's doing something since it gave me die-off.

Hi Twinkle1999

As my Dr. explained to me, the Bouloke actually puntures little holes in the Biofilms.  So I would agree with you that it causes die off.  He also wanted me to work from 1 to 2 pills each day.  As I posted, I was not able to tolerate even 1 every other day, so I am starting with one each week.  After almost a two week break, I have certainly felt a reaction after restarting.  So I keep telling myself that it is working and I just need to work up the dose as I am able to.  Thanks for the input.  I am sorry that I don't have anything for you on the UTI's.  And I am not familiar with what you were taking prior to the Boluoke.

Punches holes in the biofilm, eh? This is what Serrapeptase does as well - a systemic enzyme.

hi yazzer, boluoke is a systemic enzyme as well, otherwise known as lumbrokinase. I believe it's a certain brand name for lumbrokinase.

someone correct me if i'm wrong please.

i've been taking serrapeptase and nattokinase for a month now and they definitely have been helping. started lumbrokinase today actually. it's definitely way more pricey than the other enzymes.

I have been taking the serrapeptase, nattokinase, lumbrokinase as well as a potent digestive enzyme for months now and I definitely see a difference.

I just want to mention tho that for the ones that are really quite ill, when you begin to take the enzymes I think they could make you sick with the toxins that are released from the biofilms, similar to a herx so you may have to go slow with the enzymes.

Also, just a thought - the nattokinase has the effect of making the blood thinner so if that is an issue for you, you might want to consider that as well.

Cool - I thought boluke was like worm parts or something, used to thin the blood...I learned something new. My doc told me to take Serrapeptase, Interfase and Interfase Plus in that order, one at a time for biofilms. I ran into some trouble with the Interfase and stopped for a while (herxing badly). I will reintroduce it soon (I am doing a liver/GB cleanse first). Thanks all!

The thing that worries me a little is that I paid $45 for a month supply of lumbro. And the boluoke brand is twice the cost at $90, for the same amount. And I thought 45 was really expensive.
The question is, are people paying $90 for a better product? A little worrying either way.....

SKBM, you're correct, I just started to recommend the Boluoke to my clients. It's really costly and the company will not allow any practitioner to sell it less than their MSRP or they will close your account.

I've used Serrapeptase on myself and it worked well, but I am also past the lyme stage and use it for joint pain here and there. I wish I knew about these two when I was really ill with lyme.

You can read about the mechanisms of action here

peacesoul, what is your opinion on boluoke vs another brand?

Also do you know if it's ok to take the enzymes at the same time (serrapeptase, nattokinase, lumbrokinase)?

I'm sure it's ok, but I would not prescribe both at the same time. Too much die off, and you won't really know which one is working if you take both.

You mean another brand of the Lumbrokinase?

Ah, it all makes sense now. I saw a post about buluoke a while ago and brought it up to my doctor, who said she'd never heard of it, and I also brought up lumbrokinase and she said it works really well, but is very expensive. Good to know that they're the same thing!

I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one not taking any kind of enzyme for biofilms...I think I might need to change that up at my next visit. I've been taking cat's claw for biofilms, but I don't hear about many others using it...either way my body tends to get used to things so it'd probably be a good time to switch it up. Thanks for all this information!

(PS peacesoul I just went in and added the hyperlink.)

They are manuf. differently I believe. There is clinical research to back up the Boluoke as opposed to generic brands.

What is the difference between Bolouke (Lumbrokinase) and Serrapeptase as far as action. Don't they both do the same thing?

There is another brand that is worth a try, from the Q&A on their web site:
http://www.drbvitamins.com/products/Best_Lumbrokinase_60C#.U4_BFChJRKI
How does your lumbrokinase compare with Boluoke?
Q Boluoke has not identified what activity their capsules are nor will they explain t-PA.
A There is only ONE supplier in the world that sells pharmaceutical grade Lumbrokinase, which is what we use. It is the highest quality and it is likely that they are using the same product.

A much better price here: http://www.amazon.com/Doctors-Best-Lumbrokinase-20mg-60-Count/dp/B0019H1426/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1401929985&sr=8-3&keywords=boluoke

NO time to introduce myself tonight,
I'll be back

That is just the stuff that my LLMD told me to order from Amazon. I have not done that yet but good to hear that you guys are having success with it.

I feel that I don't have a biofilm breaker upper in my protocol which I find weird because my doctor is very lyme literate. I asked him about it once and he said I could add boluoke, but I haven't yet.
I have serapeptase in my house from when I was first treating- my less literate llmd had me doing serapeptase and grapefruit seed extract,
I wonder if the serapeptase is as effective as the boluoke and if I shold just add it in? I thought the serapeptase did somsthing to the heart maybe? isn't serapeptase made of worms or something? I don't know how my doctor could be so lyme literate and not have a biofilm thing in my protocol.
