Hey everyone! I couldn't find any information on this so I figured I'd ask the experts! I'm trying to figure out, with all the meds and supplements I take, if I'm taking them all at the best possible times. I've always taken my cyst-busting medication (tindamax, now plaquenil) at the same time as my antibiotics. Is this what everyone else does? Or should it be taken beforehand, that way when I take the abx there's something for them to kill?

Same question with cat's claw, which I take for biofilms - I've always taken it with my abx. Should I be taking it earlier?

Thanks in advance :)

That is what I do with grapefruit seed extract. But I take biofilm stuff 30 min ahead of antibiotics (and 30 min ahead of food)

Yes, at the same time as the other abx. But like everything with this crazy disease I don't think rules are hard and fast either way. Docs are learning as we learn what the best course of action might be. And that course of action might vary with the person's particular bodily constitution. Uggh.

Good question on the timing of dosage... I think a lot has to do with individual tolerance

I too, was on Tindamax for 3 months and in the beginning I had to plan out when i should take all 4 antibios. I made "special" plans to take the cyst buster when I could lay low for two consecutive days because at first it really wiped me out. The Tindamax is wicked stuff but it works. I did not like this stuff but I know it worked for me.   then I was having problems with nervousness/irritability from Tindamax and Minocycline --- so what was suggested was for my second daily dosage take all antibios  earlier in the evening with food and zofrin (for nausea). Adjustments in the timing during the day helped, as well as taking with food.

I guess to keep it short...it depends on the individual.

Now, I am beginning my new mix of antibios which includes rifampkin, doxy and clarithromycin. No more Tindamax for awhile (hopefully for good).   I hope I can tolerate this mix...

Good luck

Thanks guys! Ecotick - the tindamax hit me pretty hard too, for a while, but then all of a sudden it seemed to just stop working! The plaquenil definitely carries quite a punch all its own though, for me at least! Good luck with the new mix! Remember to get extra rest - changing things up can be a tough adjustment for our bodies!
