Happy Memorial Day to you all !!!!    I am wondering if anyone has experienced Heart racing ???  I have been noticing it for about  a week now and I first thought it might be from the Plaquenil but I am not so sure thats the cause .. I cant really pin down any 1 thing that could be causing it ...  Anyone have this before that can offer some Info ?????

Hi Purplegirl (Ps I love purple too!). My heart does not race constantly (and if yours is racing all the time, I would definitely get to a doctor), but I have definitely had times where it is going crazy fast. I measured my pulse at 130 one night, when I couldn't sleep because I was gasping just I'd just run up a flight of stairs. And it got to 180 once after going up a single flight of stairs! And I used to be in shape! I swear!

My ND believes it is from Babesia in my case. But there are other things too, like autonomic dysfunctions, that could mean that your heart is getting the wrong signals, and beating fast because it THINKS it has to, when it really doesn't. And obviously anxiety can cause it, but typically if that is the cause you have other symptoms of a panic attack, and it doesn't keep going indefinitely.

This is something you should definitely check out with a doctor

Hi Zeusy .. Yes purple is my very favorite color..LOL It doesnt do it all the time but its been very often here lately.. I had a EKG done like 7 months ago and it was fine and I do see the LLMD this week.. I have panic attacks also but usually I do have more then just my heart racing when I have that .... I checked my blood pressure earlier today and it was like 114/67 and my pulse was 91 ..... hhhmmm The thing is , when my heart starts 'racing' that alone will give a person panic..LOL

Yeah purplegirl, I know! Believe me! I don't think I've ever had a panic attach, but I generally think that you'd know if you had a panic attack vs. racing heart. But it can definitely freak you out a bit.

YES! My heart has been racing off and on since starting antibiotics. I stopped one of the antibiotics a few months ago and my heart rate dropped 10-20 beats per minute (from 90's/low 100's resting to low 70's resting). I felt so much better and more calm when it slowed down.

So now I'm on a different antibiotic and had been fine until a week or two ago. It's creeped back up again to the 80's-90's resting. I have been waking up to it feeling like it is racing. So scary. I do believe some of mine is anxiety, or at least made worse by anxiety.

I'm also having low-grade fevers off and on.

Purple- how fast is your heart going when it's racing?

I do see the LLMD in 2 days but I am not sure if he will do anything or just tell me to go see a Cardio Doc .. ??????? Its very nerve racking and I have Panic attacks so this whoel heart thing isnt helping that ..LOL LOL

To my knowledge, 90's isn't bad. It's uncomfortable, but not dangerous from what the nurse has told me. Even still, the doctor had told me that it wasn't good for it to always stay up.

Hmmm. I've been told that under 100 is ok, but anything over 100 is fast (aka matters to doctors).
