Do any of you take iodine as part of your treatment?

I started taking one kelp supplement about two months ago. After about a week, it started giving me a headache and upset stomach. I continued taking it and after another week, the headache and upset stomach went away. It has 400 mcg per capsule.

When I started it, my extreme fatigue was almost immediately a little better. It seemed like the iodine was perhaps causing some kind of herx reaction.

Anyway, about three weeks ago, I started taking Promoline Iodine. It, too, is a natural iodine source and has 3 mg of iodine per tablet. After a few days, I got the headache and upset stomach (gas, bloating, constipation). That lasted a few days and then went away.

The fatigue is definitely a little better. I am now considering taking Iodoral, which is 12.5 mg/tablet. I will cut them in half, at least at first.

After a lot of reading, I am starting to wonder, if I do have Lyme, if the iodine itself is having some effect on it. The only thing is, my brain is worse. So, here's a weird theory that I'm very cautiously exploring. What if the iodine is causing a bit of die-off, but because I wasn't doing anything to get toxins out of my brain, they built up?????

I'm probably grasping at any helpful straw. I just want my brain to get better. I can't stand this dizzy/intense fog feeling (like I've had too much to drink or taken really strong cold medicine). I don't like my neck, arm and back pain, but I would accept them if my brain would just get better.

I have the Pinella ordered (along with the Iodoral). Hopefully will be here soon. I started the Buhner protocol yesterday. It was my own little test to see if I have Lyme. It was the least expensive way to get started and everything was available locally.

I think I can definitely say I have Lyme. Everything hurts, and that's after just 24 hrs at the very lowest dose of Cat's Claw and Japanese Knotweed. I had a little pain before in my neck and arms. Now literally everything hurts from my knuckles to my ankles. So, while the pain is no fun - it's better that I know what's wrong. And, I think it adds credence to my idea that the iodine was working against the infection, too.

We tried kelp and it caused lots of digestive problems. Cooking makes it more digestible, but cooking also destroys some nutrients. We also tried Lugols iodine, but it seems like it was creating imbalances. Now we're eating about 7 grams of dulse every day, and I think it's helping, but it's only been two weeks, and I understand it takes a while.

I've collected some helpful info here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NkeEGoITObxedYivi4DFK_zg1Qt_CVvhaRnaoPJd0iw/edit?usp=sharing
