Antibiotics, buying online: any info on where to buy? Safe, reliable, not ripoff. Need source of Zithromax, Doxycillin or Erythrocin. Any ideas or tips? Sites to research this further, etc.? Are pharmacies in places like India, Thailand etc. OK?

I was wondering this myself, as my insurance is starting to deny some of my oral antibiotics, saying they exceed the recommended doses, even after my doc sent a letter of medical necessity, unreal have been fighting this blue cross for months now, they are unethical and a nasty unfair company, they won't pay for anything.

Just received an order from an online pharmacy, am very happy with the service and feel that this is an ok pharmacy to use. I was only able to get my MD to give me 10 days at most of Doxy.... have had Lyme since '88 but no Lyme aware docs in my area that I know of. I have insurance but am happy to determine for myself what dose and length of treatment that I need. Also got retin a, vit B12, zithromycin and diflucan. Nice not to have to beg for what I need. I am a nurse and feel that I know what I need to know about the meds that I need. This is the first time that I have been able to take 200 mgs twice a day. I do not know if I can name the source on this board. It is out of India, and I have noticed that some of the meds we use at the hospital where I work are actually made in India. I originally ordered a couple of years ago for the first time for HCG, and this pharmacy had a good rep, so I ordered this time again.

By the way, if you insurance is a problem, can't you just get your meds from Wal Mart for $4 ? By out of pocket rather than use insurance. My problem is finding an MD to prescribe the amount that I need.

So unsure yet rules, navigating etc.

Saw post: survivalist sites have
Info about online sources of meds.
Makes sense, if you grasp their whole orientation.
Looking into this.

Owl, all you need to do to send an email to someone on this forum is to click on the little blue envelope under their screen name. If it's not 'lit up', then they have not activated their email as of yet.

Raw runner - you don't have your email activated.

Lighterbeing or Rawrunner could you email me the information on the pharmacies? My insurance is taking me through months of waiting before they will approve an antibiotic and in the mean time I am really suffering! Thanks!! :)

Has anyone thought of resorting to the use of antibiotics labeled for fish tank use ? I have read that they are the same exact antibiotics just labeled differently . I have also read that the product is the same quality .. again just labeled differently . I do use the antibiotics on my dogs in my kennel and have for years . They work wonderfully for the different ailments that require antibiotics . Overnight improvement .

Years ago when I first came across this advice online it was said that the person had contacted the company and asked all the questions about quality and what is in the medication .
I have contemplated this as a source for myself but I do not know enough about dosing amounts and lengths of time to stay on it . . and which antibiotic works best for which infection .
I buy my antibiotics thru Lambert Vet Supply ( search their site for antibiotics , and they have them all , doxycycline, amoxicillian, pennacilyn( sp ? ) , metrinazadole so forth .... ) and they are relatively cheap and can be bought without prescription .
I am not advising anyone should do this , just saying they are antibiotics and can be bought without a prescription , do your own research and makeyour own decision . Personally I am very close to using them on myself with a little research into dosing guidelines .
A neighbor of mine who is from another country recently asked me for some Doxy because she had an absessed tooth and wanted to pull it at home and she took them with good results and no problems

Lotta...that is what I do. I am not advocating that everyone do it, but I have had Lyme for YEARS and years, cannot afford a LLMD and am fairly well versed in what I need to do when...there are various places you can order from, if you do a google search, 2 places will come up under *fish abx*...I have not had any issues. It is cheaper, plus it keeps me under the radar of my insurance co. who is already on my butt. I will say I am using thing that my Dr HAS prescribed in the past, he is not a LLMD but is open to trying to treat. The pills I got were the identical thing I got from my pharmacy.

lighterbeing- When I callled walmart for the price of biaxin it was three hundred and some dollars--don't know the exact price, but over 300 dollars--I'm now off of it because of insurance and on some different ones-I know others are cheaper but not Biaxin

Rawrunner:

Could you please email me the link to the online pharmacy you use as well. Our insurance changed recently and I'm worried that when I restart ABX treatment that I am going to have a really hard time getting the medications that I need.

When I was at my GI docs office yesterday, a man came in and said he needed information for something but I overheard him say that he was ordering his medications from a Canadian pharmacy. I thought that was interesting.

I have been ordering medication for my wife and myself from Canada for over a year now and it has worked out fine. If you email me I can tell you who to order from and how to get the best price.
