I have been on Byron White herbal Formulas for 4 weeks, prescribed by my neurologist. I am on Detox 1, Detox 2, A-L Complex, A-FNG, Body EM Matrix, Chi Master Spray, and Envi-Rad.

I am seeing improvement. But would like to know if anyone has tried these formulas and had success. They are super pricey and I hope I making the right decision. Any thoughts?

You can also use the search function on this site, Butterfly. I would suggest that you use the word Lyme before entering the rest of your search words to be sure you are getting the threads from the Lyme forum.

Just to be sure that there were plenty of results, I just did the search and saw that 10 pages of results came up! I'm sure you will find some info in there!!

My son was on the A-L complex, and the A-BArt from Bryon white and it seemed to help him through some of the times, he is currently off them due to an increase in his antibiotic treatment for this round..

I am currently on Byron White A-L which my ND added in to the other things I was already taking. It seems to be making a positive difference. I am feeling better than I have in months. We also adjusted by thyroid meds too so it is likely a combination.

My dose is still pretty low to manage the herx's so cost-wise I am finding it to last a long time.

What are you noticing so far? Are you feeling any better?

Hi Garfield. I only been on the Byron White formulas for 4 weeks, so I realize it takes time. But I have noticed a positive difference. My doses are also low, but my doc is getting ready to increase them. When I first started the protocol I felt absolutely horrible for about a week (probably herxing) and then started to slowly improve. I was so sweaty, nauseated, extremely depressed, and felt like I had the flu x1000.

As of now, I do not notice improvement from day to day but week to week I can say that I am improving. Physically I have much more energy, having less burning and tingling, less brain fog, less headaches, abdominal pain all but gone. But my depression and anxiety are still a big problem for me. Also my insomnia really hasn't improved. I am also doing detox baths every night, acupuncture, Vitamin C and other herbal IVs, as well as IV Chelation, and I had all my silver amalgam fillings removed. The IVs are super expensive, I get them 2x per week. I am getting ready to drop to 1x/week. But, the IVs have really helped support my immune system. So long story short, I have gone from functioning at 5-10% before I started treatment to feeling about 50-55% overall. Some days are terrible, some days are good, and some days are just okay. Alot depends on if I got any sleep the night before.

How do antibiotics work for you? Sometimes I feel I should be taking them in addition to the herbals.

Hi butterflyAK,
That is a good question. Sometimes I find it hard to attribute changes to any one thing when doing so many things at the same time. Of course life is complicated and doesn't give us one thing to deal with at a time either so my most recent downturn a few weeks back might have had as much to do with my thyroid being off as the Lyme and the stress of taking care of a friend who was dying from cancer.

Back to the antibiotics - I know that when I have been off them, I have gotten worse. My antibiotics journey hasn't been easy tho. Several have made me sick, a couple knocked my White Blood Cells into the cellar. The one's I'm on now maintain things but are known to have a high failure rate. My ND is thinking about which ones we might try next. He is at ILIADS conference as we speak so I'm curious to hear if he comes back with any new ideas.

I hear you on the sleep. My ND gives me an herbal blend called Best Rest that I take 3-5 days a week which helps. I was getting completely exhausted - deep fatigue during the day but unable to nap or sleep well - classic stupid Lyme symptom.

With feeling a bit better, I have been trying to focus on wellness rather than the Lyme - taking a break from researching Lyme stuff. It just gets too depressing, yes? The shift in focus seems to be taking the edge off the anxiety & depression. EFT helps too.

Butterfly,

I am taking the ABart drops. I think that they have made a big difference some days and then others, I have terrible anxiety and I start doubting everything. One thing I have noticed is that the tingling/numbness and stuff like that seems to have gotten a lot better. But the anxiety...whoa.... I also notice that when I bump up my drops, my anxiety levels are through the roof the next day and it's not that I worry about going up on the drops...it's a pattern that I've noticed because I write down daily my symptoms.

My doc had me do an ABART challenge where i increased by 5 drops every few days. When I got to like 20 drops, I herxed like crazy!!! I literally felt like I was going nuts, my toe was numb, I had a numb patch on my leg, I had creepy crawlies in my feet/on my scalp and felt disconnected from my body. This lasted about a week. I knew that the drops were doing something when this was happening. I'm now back to 13 drops a day and increase by one drops every week. My doc said that my body will be able to tolerate 30 drops with no problems once the bart infection is knocked down.

I have a hard time believing that herbal stuff will work but I know these drops are doing something....

Hi Matthew!
Welcome to our forum!! I'm so glad to hear that you are in a treatment that is effective for you!! There are actually quite a few people that have tried using abx and found that they were only getting worse - I'm one of them.

I would like to highly encourage you to read through our "New to Lyme? Start Here!" thread that sits at the top of the forum if you haven't already. It's packed full of important information, symptom lists (Lyme rarely travels alone!), informative links and more.

We look forward to more of your posts!

This is my first post but have been reading them for several months now.  I was diagnosed November 2012 with lyme after 9 months of going to different doctors and getting the 'there is nothing wrong with you' speech.  My LLMD placed me on the BW A-T formula about 3 months ago and I'm now up to 20 drops 2 x per day.  I also take 400 mg of Doxy and 600 mg of Rifampin daily.  Its been a struggle but after 6 months of treatment, I'm actually feeling better and even able to exercise.

Anyway, I truly belive the drops work.  I felt horrible when I intially started taking the drops so they had to be doing something.  Also I want to thank all of you for your posts.  I didn't know what was going on with me several months ago and I'm so thankful I found this website.  I hope all of you continue to feel better.

Thanks Lyme47031!

I have just started the A-L and A-Bart and am only able to tolerate 1 drop per day. I appreciate the feedback that you are doing better, this gives me hope! I couldn't seem to handle the antibiotics!

Keeps us updated.

Hi everyone. I've been taking the BW formulas and really like them. I found out they are made by hand which is probably why they feel so clean and strong to me. I mean WHAT is ever made by hand anymore. I found out about the A-SF formula too and was wondering about it. THanks MatC for letting us know. I'm like you, I can't do antibiotics and most meds make me way worse. Lyme4 you say you are taking A-T? Did you mean A-L? Do you have toxoplasmosis or lyme? LymeRebel you have to take their detox formula or, like me, you will have herx headaches fogginess etc etc. I felt very sick and had to take their BT and Detox 2. Still on one of those. Thanks everyone for sharing. So happy to have company!!
