where are the best clinics that treat lyme disease? I live in tennessee. I am really scared. I saw a llmd on the internet dr marty ross on skpe and he said I have chronic lyme and prob bartonella and I have not even had the lab tests, i really like him but he is in seattle washington.

I have had the em rash about 1 year ago and he says it will take me 2 yrs to heal. I was floored. I see a llmd close to my home next wk but scared cause I have medicare and don't know if long term antibiotics will be completely covered based on what I have read due to the idsa guidelines on treatment for lyme chronic.

i think it is horrible that doctors are being punished for their treatment of chronic lyme with long term antibiotics and how this government is not treating sick people who have lyme. I never have liked uncle sam and I surely can't stand it now!

Hi Mystery!

Just out of curiousity what makes your doc think it is chronic?? I had the bite 6 yrs ago and I fully plan on making a 100% full recovery. So I think you can too!

I know 2 years seems like a horribly long time, but do keep in mind that you will see improvement DURING that time. I'm 7 months in to treatment. I have a LONG ways to go, but I am seeing improvement.

Do everything possible to save & for treatment and stick with it for as long as you need to.

Oh, most of the leading LLMDs are on the east coast. There are a couple of the DC area too. That would be closer to you than Seattle.
