I’m delighted to find this forum!  Please help me find a LLMD and naturopathic practitioner in the Southeast.  I live near Chattanooga, TN, so hope to find someone in East TN, North AL or North GA.  We live in the woods and my husband and I both get multiple tick bites (many are tiny, almost invisible ticks) every year.  About 3 weeks ago I developed the Erythema Migrans rash at the site of my most recent tick bite.  Numerous symptoms plus positive blood tests resulted in a Lyme diagnosis, but my doc thinks 2-3 weeks of Doxy is adequate.  My husband has numerous symptoms of Lyme and now has positive ANA (centromere pattern) and is being referred to a rheumatologist for lupus.  I understand that Lyme can cause the positive ANA, so we both need a LLMD.  If anyone can guide us in this quest, we would be most appreciative.

Hi Melbaby!
Welcome to our little community!!

If you haven't already, it would be helpful for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of important information, symptom lists (as Lyme rarely occurs by itself), helpful links and pdf's, how to detox when one has these infections, and a list of questions that you can ask any doctor that you are seeking treatment from!

We also have a pretty good search function on this forum to help you narrow down your search for information from past posts. We must be our own health advocates now and the best thing to arm yourself with is knowledge about our infections and the different ways to treat them!

You will need to enable your email option in your profile in order to receive any recommendations, as we don't allow doctor's names and contact info to be posted on the forum for several reasons. You can enable your email option in your profile, under 'edit profile'. Be sure to click the submit button to actually save your preference.
Treating with Acupuncture, Traditional & Modern Chinese Medicine & Western Herbs. Before tx, I had all but 20 of the symptoms on the "Master Symptom List" for Lyme disease.

melbaby,

I just want to say WELCOME! I am very sorry to hear that both you and your husband have this illness.

I would be very wary of a 2-3 week treatment. Many people on this forum have received such a short treatment, and became chronically ill. You definitely need an LL physician! Please keep us updated on your journey.

We are older parents and Heather is our only child. She became so sick and debilitated that we thought that she was going to die, and everything looked so hopeless and bleak. However, God answered our prayers, and used the healing hands of Dr. J. at the Hansa Center to more than restore the health of our precious daughter. I have a moral obligation to help others that are likewise suffering!
