So, I'm sitting here nibbling on individual crystals of Pink Himalayan sea salt and sipping lemon water (I'm in mysalt craving stage again), and I wondered if this is doing anything good for my Lyme infection or one of the co's.

I found this article. Okay, the lemons aren't that loaded with Vitamin C, etc., but it has that ph balance aspect to it.

I gave up the Vit. C supplement idea, all of the 'you must take this or that with it' overwhelmed me.

It's nice to know that my body is actually asking for something helpful for a change.

Traveler has told me twice about her sea salt & honey before bed thing she does.

Anyone else using the Himalayan salt or similar for anything other than seasoning?

I'm not a frequent poster but I had to reply to this!

I also nibble on Himalayan pink salt while drinking water. I have no idea where I got the idea to do this (must have been here) but it helps somehow & I can't really explain how!

Currently 15 months into treating Lyme & bartonella.

Cool! Thanks for posting Mrseaglea! What a coincidence! For me, it was to end my ridiculous sudden love affair with potato chips. I have never before been a fan of them at all, but the past few months if I latch on to some they don't last. I had to find a way to put a stop to that, and I am really careful with salt anyway, because I have congestive heart failure and salt makes me retain water.

I was hopeful the Pink would be healthier, satisfying and not attached to junk food.

How are you doing with your treatment?

Another good article about what sea salt does when we have Lyme.
www.stopthelymelies.com/stll-blog/1

The article won't let me copy from it, but it lists 29 possible scientific reasons was C/salt help in Lyme treatments when so many other protocols don't.

I can tell you, the scientific reasons are very compelling!

Isn't a big benefit of salt that it balances our electrolytes for thise of us with dysautonomia via low ADH or aldesterone, thus making us feel better?

I take 1/8 tsp of celtic gray salt twice a day with water and I grind the pink salt crystals over my food. It seems like the salt helps my anxiety for some reason and my body craves it.
